“Cold”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

We went for dinner based on reviews in Yelp and Trip Advisor. I was a little disappointed. The food was good, but nothing special. The wait staff was attentive. The price is more than reasonable ($24 for 2 people). The place is small and could have been cozy, but it was cold. There was a cold draft through the whole place (and the temp. outside was in the 20s. Almost everyone had their coats on. I'm not sure why I didn't like this place, but it just didn't work for me.

“Looking good tasting good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Anytime I'm in Ann Arbor we always make a stop here. Recently, we had the falafel with fattoush, baba ghanoush, and yellow lentil soup. For $14. It can get crowded, small dining area, but after 1 it's pretty easy to get in.

“Best Mid-East, best family, best service, best atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

From its roots as Ann Arbor's best funky little hole in the wall, to the gem that Ali Ramlawi has made it -

J Garden has reigned the undisputed best. Once you eat there you will always crave it.

“Wonderful food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We recently had dinner at this delightful little restaurant. You have to be looking for it, since it's somewhat off the beaten path. But, it's worth it!!!! The food is just wonderful, the service is good and the price is right. If you like mid-eastern food at all, you'll love this place. And, you must have the lentil soup!!!! You'll never want to eat soup anywhere else.
