Panera's are Panera's are Panera's. They thrive on consistency the menu, the product with little room for artistic endeavors. In Ann Arbor there are four Panera's three of which serve Univ Of Michigan student populations- crowded with study hall and home work, and one that serves the bedroom communities and light industrial activity on the west side of Ann Arbor. The difference between the Jackson Road store and the others is customer service, providing quality service to meet their clientels needs. Many of the staff have been at this location for a number of years and have grown to know thier clients and foodpreference. It's a personal service envrionment
The food here and choice are about average for the product andprice point. In my view the bagles are better then the local producers. The pasteries are average and overpriced, but not as overpriced as some other hometown legacies. The bread is slightly above average and generally at a good price point. The lunch and diiner menu are standard, with the standard panera's skimpiness on some portion
