“Lots of fun for kids of all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

There are activities for toddlers on up at this awesome museum. Lots of fun and really interesting. Kids can investigate on their own, and there were also supervised activities such as making a boomerang that they can participate in.

“Great learning experience for young and old!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

I have been here a few times and my husband used to work there while we went to college at U of M. I remember loving it as a kid and now taking the kids I babysit or our nieces and nephews. They have so many different activities and have things for the very young ones too. I even learn something every time I go there! It's a great rainy day or winter day outing. So much to do, I love to see the kids learning and having fun!

“OK but some Major Annoyances”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Yes, this is a good, solid kids museum with plenty of well kept exhibits. I especially enjoyed the 2nd floor area exclusively for toddlers with the massive Plastic Colored Ball Redistribution Machine (made that up) and water table. All the good things have been said already so let me gripe:

PARKING- The museum has none of it's own spaces so you must endure a tedious parking hassle just like in any college town. The People's Republic of Ann Arbor, while welcoming hordes of smelly, dangerous homeless people to camp out for free everywhere in the city, sees fit to charge YOU $2.50 an hour (thats 10 minutes per quarter) for a space. The metered parking has, of course, a 3 hour time limit, so you can worry about all that while at the museum trying to enjoy yourself.

COST- $10 per person is annoying, especially when the cutoff age is TWO YEARS OLD. Although it says "Museum" please do not mistake this for a philanthropic institution- THIS IS A FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS.

CROWDS- Had the misfortune of coming while the place was flush with school groups. Bad mistake. My small ones were pushed out of the way alot, we had to wait to use alot of the attractions, noise level unbearable, kids unsupervised etc. Definitely CALL AHEAD if you are bringing your family and try to get a quieter time.

“Science for Little People”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Tons of interactive modules with a special area devoted to pre-school. My granddaughter really enjoyed splashing in the water table in her water-proof smock.
