“Nice place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

This is a wonderful guesthouse with clean rooms and bathrooms and a "chill" place to hangout. More for backpackers but also a very decent place for basic accomadations. The owners are wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure you are settled and answer any questions. Great place to meet other travellers as well. Only a few blocks from main square and great restaurants.

This hostel offers great double rooms. Plenty of space inside and outside: big bed (mattress could have been better though), table and chairs to sit, plenty of space to stock your stuff if you're staying multiple nights (recommend!) and a balcony with chairs to sit in the sun. All the other amenities are there as well: very helpful advise from the Swiss hostess, kitchen, common room. No breakfast. Situated one block from the busy main streets, nice and secluded location.

Very good hostel. The staff gives you a good introduction to Sucre on arrival and they have plenty of useful restaurant and sightseeing recommandations / information. The location in perfect, just 5 minute walking from the main plaza. This is a cosy place, with only ten rooms. The room had a perfect matrass, was big an clean. Wifi connection was Bolivian. There are a nice patio and living room to meet other guests.

The hostel is quiet but next door they are constructing a new building. This gave some noise but nothing too bad. The kitchen is a bit small when more than two people try to use it and you are allowed to smoke in all the public places. It didn't bother us much.

We paid 252 bolivianos for two nights in a matrimonial room with private bathroom and it was well worth the money.

Originally booked for 4 days but stayed a week. Great location in Sucre. The owners are so informative and really wamt you to enjoy Sucre. Which is just the most amazing city! So beautiful, with lots to do snd see. We stayed in a twin room for 70 Bolivianos (£7) each per night. The room was spotless and enormous. Wifi was pretty decent for Bolivia. The beds were super comfy too. I could have easily stayed here for a month!

We stayed a total of 7 nights her - 3 nights before a trek and then 4 nights afterwards. It has a great location, being only 3 blocks from the main square, but is still nice and quiet. Before our trek we had a double room with a shared bathroom (100 Bs per night) and afterwards we had a double room with a private bathroom (140 Bs per night) as that was all they had available. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and the beds have plenty of blankets. There is a well equipped kitchen (the best of any hostel we have stayed in so far) for the guests to use. There is also a TV room with sofas, cable TV and a large selection of DVDs available for guests to watch. There is a lovely courtyard as well as terrace to chill out on and enjoy the sunshine.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, doing what they could to help us out. They are also able to supply nice Bolivian wine at a very reasonable price (25-45 Bs per bottle)

There are only ten rooms and the hostel was fully booked each night we stayed there. The price per room does not include breakfast.

We would have liked to stay here a lot longer as this hostel, as well as the city of Sucre, are great places to just relax.

Highly recommend this place, the owners are most friendly and welcoming and give you loads of help and advice when you arrive and at any other time you need it. There is a beautiful courtyard around which the rooms are based so its very peaceful and chilled out, though some rooms also face the road which can be a bit noisy. There is a nice lounge with a TV and loads of DVDs to watch as well as cable TV incl sports.

Breakfast is not included but the kitchen is fine to cook in and take your food outside to eat in the courtyard.

Location is fine, near the market and five mins in to the main square. Its also near two of the main Spanish schools if that's what you're planning to do.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return

This was an amazing surprise. Incredible value for money. My room was large and bright, the bed was great, and so was the bathroom. The Swiss owners, who speak French, English, German, and of course Spanish, are extremely friendly. Ask them for any recommendation you need. The hostal has a kitchen upstairs for communal use, a terrace where you can eat, and plenty of sitting upstairs and downstairs to lounge. There is also an in-door lounge with a TV and plenty of DVDs. It's only a couple of blocks from the downtown market and very close to the sights, and yet much quieter than the majority of places I've stayed at in Bolivia. A great place to relax.

Room Tip: Rooms near the kitchen are noisier, and close to the area where smokers gather.
