“Akin to sitting in the coconut palm, in the desert, a welcome change”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Casa Goa, as you go winding up the steps to the Restaurant, youre welcomed by the pleasant service staff and the ambience and the live music, English and Konkani, makes you come home from the hot desert sands.
The food, yes its good , reminds you of the dishes you cook back home in Goa
Overall a good evening out !
Casa Goa , hmmm perhaps yes a home visit away from home !

“Goa in Dubai”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

They have made a brilliant effort to recreate Goa here. They had a band playing when we visited. Food is ok to good and most of the goan variety is available xacuti / balchao / vindaloo... Not a bad place.. a can visit

“Relaxed '70's atmosphere, spicy goan food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

This place evokes the simplicity of the 70's with as much honesty. No attempt at hardsell, just hope that the business is good. The waiter was good enough to caution me against ordering a 3rd dish saying it might be too much and to the next table offering a a pint of draught to be shared by 2. Had the pork sorpatel which is a thick spicy gravy of different body parts. Next was crab xacuti with a powdery feel to the gravy. Messy eating this one but this is a place where you can feel free to indulge yourself. Both were had with pav(bread). Be warned, goan food despite the introduction of portuguese influence has retained it's Indian spiciness.Planning on visiting again, hopefully tonight. Total bill including water was Dhs 86.

“Casa Goa, the lost glory!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011 via mobile

Where do I begin? Well until 2009 this used to be the preferred place for a quick unscheduled office party on the weekends, but not anymore.
The quality of food now has completely gone down. The only thing on the menu that's still ok with the taste buds is the French fries. If you are expecting to eat some spicy vindaloo curry or Pork ribs you will be mighty disappointed. The ready to fry Pork ribs that you get from Spinneys supermarket is more Goan than the one in Casa Goa. The only saving grace for Casa Goa is their all in 1 musician and singer who belts some authentic Goan numbers coupled with a few repeatative English numbers and the occasional Hindi number that doesn't go beyond Remo Fernandes's " o meri Munni".
I wish the management gets back to the basics and focuses on good authentic Goan food. For the moment this place has lost its glory and there's nothing Goan about it. It's ok if you are going there for a quick drink with a few French fries.
