Let me first begin by passing my experience with the valet service at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. I attempted to enter to valet my car, however, I was instructed to "park next to the bank and walk over because we have a a big event." This obviously isn't how you'd want to begin the evening, however, this wasn't La Veranda's fault. Back to dinner- the setting is fairly casual, with some seating on the beach overlooking the marina and health clubs. In the evening it was quite nice and certainly the relaxed atmospere we were looking for. All but one of the table of (6) we had ordered pizza, a fairly simple order- and it took roughly 50 minutes to bring the pizza out. One of our guests sent the pizza back as the bottom was completely soggy- another was so hungry they just decided to power through the sogginess. Another point is that their menu contains a whole section on pork, which they are no longer even liscensed to serve... this should have been mentioned at the time of seating (actually should have redone the menus) as many of us were going to select an option from the menu. The wine menu was a complete joke- if you want a white wine, you have maybe two or three selections, and it was the same for red wine. Lastly, the service was terrible- we got one bottle of sparkling and one bottle of still- the waiter put the bottles on the table and walked away. Seriously??? This is a Jumeirah restaurant? I really hope the Director of Food and Beverage has the chance to visit all the restaurants as this one is not in the slightest up to Jumeirah standards and seems to have fallen through the cracks.

We are concerned to note your feedback in regards to the quality of food and sincerely apologize for not living up to your expectation on this occasion. The disappointment and inconvenience caused is highly regretted.
Please rest assured that the mentioned points have been addressed with our team and corrective action is put in place. The Executive Chef will review the existing variety, production and preparation , More over our new La Veranda Menu which we are launching this weekend will incorpoate the changes to ensure our guests receive high quality products as expected of Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
