“LOOK NO FURTHER - ARABIAN COURTYARD HOTEL AND SPA - IS THE PLACE TO STAY - TRULY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

I have been to Dubai before to stay with family, who have now moved back to the States, so I had to choose a Hotel and not having been before chose the Arabian Courtyard Hotel and Spa as I wanted to stay in the old original part of Dubai, plus I thought the rate was good for Dubai! I cannot praise this Hotel enough. You will not get better staff anywhere. Every member of staff from the person who replenishes the bread at the excellent breakfast to the Manager of F&B Operations, I did not see anyone who was not courteous and friendly and smiling. Everyone was eager to please. I want to mention "Sai" - a real treasure, with boundless energy, interest and care for the guest and who can deal with all queries.
There are four restaurants in the Hotel and I ate at two of them - which were excellent - so why try the other two?

Room Tip: Everyone seems to want a room looking across at the Museum. I had a nonsmoking on the 4th floor whi...

My family and I have stayed at many hotels in Dubai on our way to and from Europe and find this place a great alternative to the big resorts when the weather is cooler and pools aren't as appealing.
The hotel has a small pool and some (quite expensive) massage options. I didn't try the sauna or spa. The breakfast has a fairly wide spread of ok food.
The best thing about the hotel is the location. Opposite a fun little fort/museum (great for kids) and near some souks and the river. Definitely hop on one of the boats for few minutes to head over to the spice and other souks ( have a few dirham coins handy for boat).
They have a handy free shuttle service to airport.
All in all a pleasant functional stay for a night or 2.

This was our second visit to the Arabian Courtyard Hotel and Spa. This is an excellent 4 star hotel, opposite to the museum in Dubai and a short stroll to the Creek and the historic attractions in old Dubai and some 3-400m from the metro. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the airport, so it is well located, as all other attractions are connected by the metro and other public transport. The hotel has spacious rooms, with mini bars, large comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms with great water pressure for the shower. Rooms are kept immaculately clean (ours on the sixth floor was first class) and in keeping with the hotels theme they are decorated in an arabian manner. We found that the staff were very helpful, you are made to feel genuinely welcome. The hotel has several restaurants, Italian, Thai / Chinese, Indian, international and a British pub, we have eaten in all of these and they are all good. However the food in the Thai was our favourite and the Indian has great food and brilliant live sitar music and Indian musical group and dancing ladies, this restaurant opens to 3.30am and is normally packed with Indian customers. The hotel has a spa, gym and swimming pool, we used the swimming pool and sunbathing area which were all good. Our friends used the spa and they thought it was good, but a tad expensive and we would have tried it if they offered shorter and less expensive treatments. The hotel also provides a bus to the beach returning early afternoon. The hotel doesn't have on site car parking, but provide a free car parking valet service. For the second year we booked room only, the additional cost of breakfast seemed too much, especially as the hotel provides free tea and coffee making facility in the rooms. Our friends who booked the hotel on our recommendation did have breakfast and whilst they thought it was OK, they agreed with us that it was expensive for what you got. In summary we thought the hotel was great and we plan to stay at this hotel again in the future. Top tip get a metro card at the stations for the metro and bus service.

Room Tip: The front if the hotel has the best views, looking down onto the Museum and glimpses of the creek fr...

Stayed at this hotel on our stopover in Dubai for 3 nights, with my daughter. We were lucky enough to be given a room with a view over the fort/museum. Hotel is in great location with easy walking to Mina Bazaar, the Creek for access to a bra's and lovely walk along the waterfront. This hotel offers good friendly service, with themed rooms which are a good size, and also has an English themed pub onsite. Enjoyed our stay with the hotel, staff friendly, buffet breakfast was included and enjoyable and offered all the usuals generally on offer in most hotels these days. Would recommend staying here.

I spent a great deal of time researching hotels for my trip and decided upon Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa - and am so glad I did! The facility is amazing - as is the staff! I stayed in room number 708 overlooking the Dubai Museum. My room was simply amazing - clean, spacious and well appointed. Also worth noting, the shower pressure was excellent as was the supply of hot water throughout the day. Location wise, getting around is pretty easy from here as well. I walked to the Al Fahidi Metro station on several occasions as I like getting down in it as it were; it is a simple 15m walk. If that's not your speed, then grabbing a taxi out front is straightforward enough as well. I highly recommend Arabian Courtyard and will definitely stay here again when I visit Dubai next Spring.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the Dubai Museum; additionally, if you can splurge a bit then opt for rooms on the...

I checked into the Arabian Courtyard having stayed at 3 different hotels during my visit to Dubai.

My experience of this hotel was that it did not live up to expectations at all and was the worst I've stayed in throughout all my visits to Dubai. The hotel is extremely dated and the restaurants and facilities did not look appetising in the slightest. There are also odd smells throughout the hotel. The lifts were old and looked dirty. The pool is very small with limited seating. Again it does not look at all inviting.

Make no mistake, this hotel is not on the level of other 4* hotels in Dubai and neither do I believe it is worth the price.

Rooms were adequate, but again was very old and tired. Housekeeping was disappointing too - on two reasonable requests, not only were they unable to help - they provided no alternative.

This hotel is, compared to other i've stayed in with same star rating/price, only worthy of a 2-3*.

I stayed with the intention of getting an authentic arabic feel to my stay at a clean hotel. instead I felt I was in an old indian hotel.

After reading reviews and saw the location we decided to book 3 nights in this hotel. The hotel has the authentic arabian character and it locates right near the old town (opposite Dubai museum- walking distance to the creek and old town area) Our room was quite old but very clean, large bed and well equipped. The breakfast was very very good with lots of choices for everyone. For breakfast, I recommend to take a table near the windows so you will enjoy museum view while eating. The staffs were very very helpful and professional. Great price for such a service and convenient location.

Room Tip: try to book a room with museum view
