Came here during a business trip and decided to do it because I hadn't been able to ski back home (Colorado) for the past 2 years, and figured it'd be cool to do it in Dubai. For the record, I typically ski intermediate and difficult (blues and black diamonds) terrain in most of Colorado's ski resorts.
Liked: Scratched my itch for carving some powder (surprisingly decent powder)! Runs were steep enough to provide some practice on my turns. Great package deal that included a jacket (didn't think I'd actually need it, but did), snow pants (I turned this down), skis/thin boot socks/boots/poles, and the "lift ticket" (doubles as a storage locker key for a few extra bucks). I brought my own hat and gloves, but only wore the gloves and was fine; not sure if hat/gloves come with the package, didn't look like it but there is a small winter clothing store with name brand stuff if you really have the money to spend. Also, a few other activities for non-skiers that looked worth checking out. Didn't do any though, just wanted to ski!
Dislikes: SLOW chairlift. Took much longer to go up the chairlift than to go down the run. They have a "T-bar" type lift that was labeled for experts only, but it was the fastest way up the slope. I've never ridden a "T-bar" and had no issues figuring it out.
Interesting note: They actually built a little "lodge" half way up for a hot beverage/snack stop. Interesting.
Final Notes: Relative to the fact that it's a man-made, indoor ski slope (in Dubai, no less), it does the job for getting some runs in. They have a bunny hill off to the side for learners, but as an average skier, I was pleased with Ski Dubai; just would've been nice if the lift was quicker since the runs are short.
