“Not A Good Experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2012

Booked the hotel the day before, then when I arrived, they said they were full, and refused to give me a room even though I had prepaid it. This hotel is located in a not very good neighborhood. If the condition of the lobby is any indication of what the room was like, it would be horrible.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the way it smells, it might be alright.

I have stayed in this hotel for three nights, the hotel lobby looks poor, the room is spacious, however, the bed is extremely terrouble and as if you are sleeping on a wooden mattress. The nightmare starts after midnight where the very loud music of the night clubs gets you crazy, i went next morning of one loooong night and complained to the receptionest who apologized for that noise and that she can do nothing, and that administration knows already about that noise.
I had a very long and quite sleep when i went home
the only advantage of the hotel is being close to a metro station

Stayed there for over a week.

The hotel room is just minimal. Nothing great.

The food is good. Dont expect anything great. Breakfast is again bare minimum.

The only problem is the dance bar on the top floor. It plays extremely loud music through the night. It is impossible to sleep.

Overall, wont recommend this hotel to any one.

This is the Worst hotel i've ever been in, and I travel CONSTANTLY. From the second I stepped into the hotel, I coldn't believe where I gotten myself into. The smell, the looks of it. I know Karama is quite run down, but you expect the hotel to have a better appearance, AND BETTER SERVICE.

I can clearly state this hotel as the worst i have EVER been in, even when comparing to hostiles!

Room Tip: To choose a good room, simply choose a different hotel

President hotel has allegedly dishonoured my confirmed hotel room booking , with my family on visit from Oman,
I had confirmed bookings for a room at President Hotel in Karama for November 5, 2011 but when I landed in the hotel lobby at midnight, the hotel staff refused to allow US to stay in the booked rooms and instead forced them to stay in another inferior quality hotel apartment at double the rate initially offered by the hotel.

Even though : “I had regular email and phone communication with the hotel staff to book one room for two nights from November 5th. It was a confirmed booking for two nights, from the hotel at the rate of Dh285 with a complimentary breakfast. Once I reached the hotel with these confirmation letters, the hotel staff were not willing to honour the booking without any reason.” ,
one leading news paper covered this story pls see the link , so i advice travelers to dont deal with them any more.

Stayed during October 2011, it was amazing experience. New furniture good fixtures in washroom but the only disadvantage is no internet access in rooms and its only available in Reception area and its free.
And also its a 2 min walking to the metro station so its a best access for transports.
Staff is good and supportive. Good food also. Although because of clubs there was loud noise but than its ok for me. Overall it was best experience.

Room Tip: Try to choose lower floors to avoid noise from clubs of top floors.

Stayed for 3 days from april 30th to may 2nd.Staff courteous. Breakfast is very poor. Had a room in first floor but still could hear the noices from the night club in 4th floor. Not too many workers.had to fend off by myself to catch a taxi to airport . The staff gave instructions of where taxi can be got but in ahopsitality industry one expects them to help by them sending some one to get the taxi. Also no help forthcoming on sightseeing trips.Good for short term business visits
