“Fabulous stay”

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment at the Grosvenor House whilst on holiday with friends. The apartments are nice, but probably not quite as nicely finished and spacious as the ones at the Oasis Beach. The hotel facilities more than make up for this though - an abundance of great restaurants and bars in house mean that you need never leave, although you would of course be missing out on all that Dubai has to offer. We made plenty of use of the beach facilities at Le Royal Meridien, although it didn't look far to walk, we took the shuttle as there always seemed to be one waiting. It was great to be able to charge things to your room there, although be warned that drinks and food at the pool are very pricey. Didn't try the pools at the Grosvenor House itself, as the ones at LRM were far more appealing. Any calls to housekeeping were responded to very quickly and the apartment was always left immaculate. Plenty of bottles of water were left every day which were much appreciated. All the staff in the hotel were incredibly kind and helpful and definitely made a difference to us. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Dubai.

We arrived to find that none of the notes we had requested whilst booking had been added to our details, we asked for a smoking suite as high up as possible, and had paid more for some of these requests, none of them had been added.
A 3 hour wait for our room was ahead, which when in plane clothes in that heat wasn't a great start but the guy checking us in was very good.
The room was lovely, a huge living area, and a balcony which went all the way around the corner of the room. It wasn't high up but we didn't want to wait any longer.
Having seen other reviewers pictures I am now a little disappointed we did not get any of the fancy stuff on the bed ! But the room really was very comfortable.
Concierge were great, and the pool was OK, not huge but it was nice.
No beach at this one but they do have a free shuttle to one of the resort hotels beach.
A bit of a walk to the actual beach and no loungers or service like in the Atlantis so you really could have been anywhere, didn't feel very exclusive.
The breakfast wasn't really anything to write home about.
The hotel was nice, but doesn't feel as grand as some of the others, we had a good stay but I wouldn't return to this particular hotel

Stayed for a week and to be honest really wanted to check out, rather heartbroken, after day one. Picked up at the airport in a 4x4 which was a surprise as hotel website suggests a luxury limousine.

First room we had faced a busy road so no sleep that night. The duty manager was very helpful and moved us to a higher category room which unfortunately was above a nightclub so no sleep on night two either. Finally we moved to a standard room which faced the front reception which while didn't have nightclub or constant road noise did get woken up every night at 3:00 am or thereabouts by the various supercars (ferrari, McLaren etc) roaring off as the locals departed the various nightspots.

If you like a frenetic, "busy busy" new york style hotel then this property may be for you. If you were expecting luxury, consistent service, and a chance for peace and quiet you may be disappointed as we were.

I also experienced erratic service at the level 5 lounge , as I felt at times staff were overwhelmed by the volume of people, for example when the duty manager was helping us organise a room move she kept getting pounced on by other guests wanting to make expedition bookings as no other staff member was available to help.

Final straw was that our return limo booking to the airport got lost and so was grilled by the concierge about "why hadn't we booked in advance" when we were promised by the Level 5 manager that this had all been organised that very morning.

To be fair - some positives:

Staff and services at B'attitude spa were great (fantastic massage and surroundings)
Guest rooms very clean with comfy beds and top quality linens.
Duty manager did try very hard to please and was personally charming and warm, if only
her colleagues were at this level it would be a different experience!

In summary - I would not return, either to this property or this particular area of Dubai as considerable construction noise at the beach area (Le Royal meridien) made relaxing on the beach difficult (one blissfully quiet day on a holy day made us realise just how much construction noise there was!)

If , however you want a full on party lifestyle then you may well love it! I only get 2 weeks holiday a year so my 1 week here was, sadly, a let-down.

From the BMW 7 series airport pick-up, the welcome by name as the car door is opened on arrival, the welcoming drink as you get signed in, and the bags beating you to the room (luckily ready, even though we arrived at 8.30am), through to the Bulgari soaps and shampoos, the determination to resolve any challenge or question, and the perfectly prepared to order breakfasts, this is a very hard place to beat. This is my second visit, this time with my wife, and we managed to get a reasonably priced suite (allow time to walk through to the vast soft bed!). You get the impression everyone here is 100% bought in to making this THE best. The restaurants are superb, the views from Bar 44 whilst you have a nightcap are marvellous, and the spas delightful.

What else can I add? Well, I've stayed in Tower 1 and Tower 2 and there's little difference: Tower 2 is newer but Tower 1 has a bigger pool (but you can use either - it's just a bit further and 2 lifts instead of 1). The pools aren't very big - especially in tower 2 - and both end up in the shadows around lunchtime (but there's the every 15 min bus to the sister Le Meridien hotel on a private beach with much larger beachside pools just 1/2 mile away). Some balconies are huge, some small. I've stayed on the 7th floor and above and rooms have been quiet with no noticeable traffic or construction noise at all.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

We booked a three bedroom apartment and it exceeded our expectations. The room size was larger than we expected, it was well furnished and the beds were similar to Westin's Heavenly Beds - if you cannot get a good night's sleep in these beds .....

From the moment we arrived to the moment that we left, we experienced a high level of service from the staff. The bell staff were smart, professional and helped entertain our young children when we found ourselves at the front of the hotel. The front desk staff were professional and efficient as you would hope after a long journey. Finally, the F&B staff across all outlets were spot on and could not be faulted in their efficiency and dealing with our needs - one night a friend managed to spill some wine on his shirt and the waiter disappeared to find him a replacement shirt (it wasn't necessary but it was a thoughtful and welcome touch)

The hotel has a number of high end restaurants and bars and therefore in the evenings we rarely had to leave the hotel (which was a benefit as we could stay close to the children and their nanny).

One night we dined in an excellent Michelin star Indian restaurant, another was in a Gary Rhodes restaurant plus there is the famous Buddha Bar as well as a great bar at the top of the hotel.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best that we have encountered in a 5 star hotel. A large range of food catering for every taste - and as we were two families with a lot of young children the staff were great in taking care of us.

Nice little touches were the complementary valet parking and wifi.

The driveway was always full of Ferraris, Porsches, Rolls Royces etc which my two young boys loved .... even though they can barely pronounce the words.

Whilst we were there for a family holiday, we would have been just as happy as a couple having a romantic break or with a group of friends to enjoy the nightlife.

Finally, when we were researching where to stay in Dubai, Grosvenor House was also one of the best value options amongst its peer group so we were very well satisfied.

This was my third time and the GH , and still this hotel for me is Superb.

I am a SPG Platinum member, and I was immediately upgraded to a Suite, wich was fantastic; Service at the Club lounge was excellent, very good food and all beverage you want.

All staf is amazing, helpful and ready to solve any question that You could have.

Marina Dubai ( close to the hotel), is very nice for spending the evening with a lot of bars and restaurants.

And also the beach and pools at the meridian is very nice.

You can have also the Dubai metro close to the hotel for going around, and also for going directly to the Airport.

Still in my opinion the best hotel di Dubia.

We have stayed in the Grosvenor House Tower II three times this year and it has been a magnificent experience each time. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. They helped us to organise our trip to Abu Dhabi as well as booking other various activites and restaurants.The rooms are very spacious and the the access to the vip lounge is handy as they serve breakfast lunch snacks and dinner throughout the day. Excellent if you are travelling with kids. Pool area is great too and just the whole stay was more than we ever expected. We will definitely return!
