This was my second visit to Dubai but first as a couple and wasn't really expecting much after last time, this was merely a stop off from our honeymoon in Maldives to split the journey home. But I was proven wrong!! I wish we had stayed longer then the two nights booked, so much to see just within the grounds not mentioning venturing out into the city.
We arrived in the afternoon to be chauffeured to the hotel by a private car, on arrival we were quickly checked in and escorted to our room via Buggy (these things are great), we had a half board booking and the lunch was almost finishing so we quickly checked in at the Villa with our personal butler and obtained our lunch vouchers so we could return in-time to lunch before properly checking in and going to our suite.
The hotel site consists of 3 hotels, a shopping area and over 20 restaurants.
With half board you also have access to dine at;
16 restaurants @ Jumeirah Beach (13 of which are inclusive others have a supplement charge)
9 restuarants @ Jumeirah Emrites Toers (plus 3 others with a supplement)
5 restaurants @ Jumeirah Zabeel Saray (plus 1 other with a supplement)
You also have exclusive access to the beach and to the Wild Wadi waterpark through a hotel entrance.
We dined in the arboretum for breakfast and lunch, the buffet selection was exemplary.
Our room was average, a little small but still cosey, but the service is and facilities outside of it made this a very enjoable hotel to stay at.
Our Butler Arvind was excellent, wee had an issue with the transfer back as we had mis-placed the paperwork and he was able to locate the company details and obtain our return transfer details. In doing so he expected the transfer company to offer the same level of service as he was giving so when they were taking a little longer then usual with him and unable to get the details he was highly annoyed and reported this to the management, who were greatly apologetic. Arvind also helped us put together an itinerary and booked the places for us, only really having one full day to explore he managed to book us for lunch at Burj al Arab (for which he surprised us by them giving us honeymoon benefits) plus tickets for the Burj Kalifa for the evening and dinner at MJ's steak house. He really made the effort as did all the other staff within the hotel.
The only suggestion I can make for your trip here to be better is to make it longer... there is so much to do and see and the staff are so helpful in arranging anything they can for you.
I never go back to the same location on holiday as I aspire to travel as much of the world as possible but Dubai and this hotel vicinity are back on my list for another visit!!
