IZ is an indian Restaurant located in the Grand Hyatt near the WAFI Mall. They are many restaurants in this hotel with various specialities
Iz is carefully lit, but the interior is light, with lots of pale wood, and cream-coloured furniture. The larger, raised tables, which are round and can seat eight comfortably, are cocooned in a semi-circular ball of wooden slats, which offers privacy without feeling too secluded.
Most dishes are baked in the tandoori, allowing meat and vegetable flavours to breathe. Individual dishes do feel expensive for their portion size, but this is an excellent opportunity for fans of Indian food to mix and match flavours, and staff are knowledgeable about what works together.
The service is correct and food is nicely presented. First they bring some appetizers. Then we choosed for two and to share the following dishes :
- Murgh Malai
- Lamb Chop
- Malai Seekh
- all the plates above presented with Raita & Mint Sauce
- Murgh Makhani & Steamed Rice.
All the plates were good. Quantity is not hudge as mentioned, but quality is excellent. In terms of prices, not too expensive. For all with 2l of Water, AED 275.
