“Great Iftar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Had a friend here on an extended layover, so I decided to show him an Iftar meal at this restaurant. The food was fresh, authentic, and tasty. I will probably return here for a brunch after Ramadan.

“So so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Had buffet lunch here with family.

On first glance it was impressive. It was spacious and the staff were attentive....

The selection of food was very limited for the price we have to pay. The quality wasn't that good either. Overall it was very disappointing.

“Friday brunch- bit of an odd mix”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

A group of friends and I ended up here for a last minute Friday brunch as our regular haunts were booked out and we found a two-for-one voucher.

Upon arrival it looked promising- DJ playing, smiling staff, various food stations and an activities guide ready to whisk my 8 yr old off to the kids room.

On closer inspection, it was a bizarre mix of foods on offer. It was pork free so no usual brunch fare of roast pork etc , instead the dreaded turkey bacon in dishes. The was a salad bar with the usual hummus, breads, Caprese salad, smoked salmon etc. a small selection of seafood (Oysters, Prawns and Mussels) although these weren't fabulous, they were still of good quality.

The 'hot' section consisted of a whole baked fish, pasta station (with one sort of pasta and several sauces), a wok of stir fried beef in oyster sauce, baked and steamed vegetables and an area with cheese spring rolls, Thai fish cakes and baked chicken. Very odd and bizarre mix of food! That said, each dish was enjoyed.

My8 yr old decided the offerings in the kids room, although plentiful and to my eye tasty, not overly exciting and preferred to eat from the seafood area instead, demolishing plates of oysters. Kids fare was standard burgers, chicken fingers, fries, popcorn, marshmallows and cakes and an ice cream fridge. Entertainment was a big screen tv with games, face painter etc.

Overall,as we paid half price ( soft drink package199, drinks 299) it was okay. I don't think we would return at full price but instead opt for the Grand Grill or Lucianos at the same location, dine al la carte and head to after brunch at Underground, XL, or Horizon. Or better still, head to a tried and tested brunch favourite instead.
