“Do not miss this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Take time to get away from the beautiful hotels and visit the Creek. It's a great experience and a reality check that is worth seeing. The boats and fishermen are all visible, the souks and the buzz of non mall shopping is just a must in my opinion.

“Very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

I stopped by here just to see it and found it to be a very relaxing place. Very nice place to watch boats go by. You can also take a cruise on the Creek and eat at a few nice places along the way.

“Real Dubai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Our second visit to the creek for a spot of shopping at the Gold and Spice Souk on the far side and material and electronics on the other. The Abras are fantastic - for just one dirham (20p) you can cross the creek on these passenger abras - great fun.

“Take the Abra for an authentic experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Dubai creek is as close to seeing "old dubai" as it's possible to. Flanked by the gold and spice souks at Deera it's a nice change from the glamour of central Dubai and Jumeriah. Crossing the Creek on an old Abra costs like 20p and is really good fun. It's a busy little waterway and the museums and heritage village make for a really fun day out.

“Plenty to see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

When here on several days. Loved the souqs. (Textiles, spice, etc)the gold souq is well worth a visit. Used the water taxi but as a treat we hired one of the abras (flat bottomed, open sided boats) just for the two of us for an hour. Well worth it, great photos. Enjoyed the walk around the Dubai museum and the Heritage and Diving village.
