“Bustling area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Worth a walk along the docks side. All the hustle and bustle and seeing the cargo ships is a worthwhile experience.

“Take an authentic view of Dubai”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Most people have only been to the glitzy and glamour side of Dubai but that's just one part of the amazing Dubai Adventure. Take a stroll down Dubai Creek for a modern history view. Breathe in the hustle and bustle of this working class part of the City. Take an abra to cross to the other side, just like they used to several decades ago. It'll only cost you about 1dhs per person per station... much cheaper than the sanitized version elsewhere and you get the real experience. Walk through several souqs (Gold,Spice, and Textile) along the way. Stroll through heritage villages (Bastakiya and Shindagha). Eat at one of the creekside restaurants (I'd suggest the one beside the Textile Souq... the ones near the Heritage Village tend to have really bad service). There are several metro stations nearby.

“Great ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Surprisingly clean and vibrant. Take an hour trip on dowh for £10 pp. Very good value. Interesting to see the boats being loaded with cargo for Europe and Asia.

“boat tour for 2 AED”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Hey, where else can you get an authentic boat tour of the sites for only 2 dirhams? Super cheap, take the abra across the creek and back and see the sites while sitting with the multiracial "real people" of dubai, which means mostly darker fellows from India & pakistan, with occasional Arab looking fellows. Got to do this one, if nothing else on your visit to Dubai.
