“Great food, great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

I go quiet a lot to Belgian beer cafe's especially in the UAE but also all over the world and I must say that this one is really amazing. Good and friendly staff, amazing food. The mussels are as good as in good restaurants in Belgium. But also the meat dishes as steak tartar. Comments that salami is beef is just that there's no pork license and it has to be like that and about the price i can only say that for the souq the prices are even on the low side.

“Very expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

Used to love the BBC in Festival City for mussels. Haven’t been there for a long time so decided to visit Madinat Branch for lunch and won’t be going back there. Food was very expensive (dhs80 for a small burger, dhs150 for mussels) and nothing special. Also service was not up to Madinat standards. The venue is quite nice by the water but that’s it!

Also many people drinking and smoking a lot at 2pm!

“poor quality and extremely poor management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

Knowing the other beer cafe's as pleasant and good quality service and food, we headed to Madinat Jumeirah Beer Cafe. Unfortunately the experience was, gently sad: bad.
salami in the menu appeared to be beef-salami, cheddar cheese for the burgers was emmental, wrong tea was served and general service extremely poor.
When, while paying the bill in full as a kind gesture, talking to the South-African manager, he completely ignored the comments and even dared to say we were in the wrong. Than, shrug his shoulders and walked off.
Seriously, beer cafe, you have to do better in Madinat as your venture here is not even close to being on par with the other beer cafe's

“Curled up sandwich”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

The beer may be great, the mussels were excellent, but one of us fancied that old french/belgian favorite of Crogue Monsieur. What they got was a thin slice of ham, with a slice of processed Kraft type cheese, in between 2 thin slices of white bread, which curled up at the edges. AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. English motorway service stations of the 70s served better sandwiches!

This was at the Madinat Jumeirah branch.
