This hotel is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in,in dubai and I go ever year !!! its more like a 3*not the 5* I paid for !!! Dirty rooms, stained carpets, old and shabby furniture covered in this white gloss paint to try and bring it bk to life , dirty pools (old plasters floating about) broken tiles ,poor facilities ,very poor beach facilities poor spa facilities damp on the walls in changing rooms and smelt ,non smoking and smoking in the same area in restaurants so want able to use the as the sank of smoke ,staff were not very helpful and gave wrong information on arrival that caused problems! Presentation in lobby was scruffy. Had to pay for internet access which ive never had to pay for at any other hotel in dubai .. list goes on !!!! I will never go bk to this hotel again .... Discussed and disappointed :(

The hotel was brilliant, the attention to detail could not be better! It was amazing and I will be staying at Habtoor Grand next time I'm in Dubai! The staff were really friendly and always keen to help! The hotel restaurant was amazing, the breakfast was grand indeed! The suite was very spacious and the sea facing pool together with the good quality restaurants was great! Overall, the stay was perfect!

This is definitely the best hotel we have ever stayed in. From start to finish everything was perfect. staff were so friendly, polite and helpful, food amazing, spotlessly clean and facilities out of this world. Anyone going to Dubai should stay here.

We stayed here 2/8/13-14/8/13. and the complaints reported to the hotel manager have still not been settled as promised by him.We stayed in 2 tower block rooms both with very worn carpets with staples sticking up in various places.The towels were very well worn and thin.On 2 nights we could not sleep due to background music which we could not turn off. 1 night no hot water.1 night no cold water. 1 night no towels.The sunbeds around the pool areas were dirty and very heavily stained. The pool towels were very old and grey instead of white. Children were unsupervised in the restaraunt and touching the buffet food with their hands.We were glad to leave and would never stay there again.Many better hotels and cheaper rates too.

stayed for 4 nights,on arrival there was a bit of confusion over rooms as had requested 2 rooms near eachother,we were told 1 room was ready as a little early for check in but other wasn't, went to room-it was lovely with a lovely view-very happy. went back about 4 hours later to get other room key to be faced with more confusion over room and still not ready,and confusion over where we could eat on half board basis.were told the room would be ready in half an hour for sure, I asked how sure as were told ten minutes 4 hours ago! went to the 1 room we had and received a call not to say the room was ready but we were being upgraded to the presidential suite on floor 23 due to the trouble we had! well! what a suite! stunning with a stunning view! I know the upgrade didn't really put the hotel out as it was obviously empty anyway but they didn't have to upgrade us and it was huge so a very big place to housekeep etc.staff very happy to help with anything, do use the safe though as my daughters bag had been gone through and £10 the only money in there and some cigarettes taken, staff apologetic and took this seriously but obviously nothing they could do there and then but would look into it.didnt spoil holiday just taught us to make sure everything goes in the safe! pool and beach areas lovely, staff lovely, food good lots of choice, very busy at breakfast!

I hate to moan and whinge but I seriously hope people pay attention to this post, especially if it is your first time visiting Dubai. If you want to experience the best Dubai has to offer please DO NOT stay here.

We are regular visiters to Dubai, and my mother-in-law booked us into Habtoor as an anniversary present as they had stayed here years before. She was appalled at the change in this hotel. It has to be the worst hotel any of us have stayed at in Dubai!!!

We were told that internet was charged at £20 per night, even though on our booking this was included. We even showed them the booking confirmation and still they would not offer us the free internet we expected even after we explained that my partner has to have access to the internet for his business in the UK. All hotels in Dubai offer free wifi, so don't expect any less!
When eventually given internet access (after our complaint about a lizard in the room) it was only for one device, so he only had it for his laptop.

GYM- they do have a brilliant gym probably the only good thing about this hotel.

TOWER ROOMs- are dated and old with a damp/ smokey smell. Things like rips in the curtains, stains on carpets are not what you expect from a 5star hotel. As it was our anniversary we were told we would receive an upgrade to a sea view room but we had already paid for this in the booking. They didn't listen. No point arguing as it seems they are so used to complaints they don't even try to listen or make up for it.

BREAKFAST- was something I was looking forward to after I had heard good reviews from my families previous stay years ago. What a let down. It was mediocre at best and far too busy, ques for everything!

Then after our first day, my partner found a huge LIZARD IN ONE OF THE DRAWERS!!!!!!!!!

They quickly removed the lizard and moved us rooms, this time on the other side of the towers. This room was a suite so a lot more room but no balcony. The space was a bonus but still no better quality.

We were told that as it was our anniversary they would make our trip special. Nothing at all was done. (We were lucky enough to stay in the Walforf Ras Al Khaimah after this horrid hotel, who congratulated us and made us feel really special, as well as serve a cake in our room AND a free couples massage!!!)

The worst thing had to be that my mother in law complained that we were not happy and would not be staying here again and they eventually assured her we would receive a complimentary meal and we could move to a refurbished room.

The next day we went to enquire about our meal, and both managers denied ever promising a meal. We didn't bother moving rooms as we didn't want to waste any more of our trip in the hotel and went out to meet friends instead.

This hotel is probably fine for a budget 3* holiday with children, as there are a lot of families, and it is noisy, so that sort of atmosphere. However they need to lower there prices to reflect that!!!!!!

We will not be staying here again!!! There is nothing 5 star about this hotel!

we stayed here in june 2013 and it was fantastic very clean, the bed was extremely comfy the hotel itself is huge with lots of thing going on .
we stayed at the roof top pool as it was so quiet there and the pool boy was very good getting our bed ready for us coming down food was very good with lots of choice and high tea was fab the 3 hours free alcohol also was a nice touch i will certainly be back
