We had a transit in dubai for 10 hours and checked in this hotel. Dinesh in reception was very helpful and allowed us to check in early and offered free upgrade. We will definitely recommend this to friends. Thank you Dinesh at the reception. X

After staying 2 nights in old downtown DUBAI at the meridien fairway my daughter decided we should stay one day at the beach , so we use our SPG points to stay at the royal meridien on the beach , what an amazing choice my daughter did , everything I look for in a resort , nice pools , beautiful landscape, fabulous restaurants, great beach with warm water and cool sand ,lots of space to move around , the only bad thing was that we were only staying one night, she had to get back to school , it was thanksgiving break so she only had 4 days , but as soon as I get chance I will be back there , hopefully in spring break when my other son get s his college break . I visit other SPG propertys in the area , but I think this is my place .

This is my third stay at the Royal Meridein and yet again it has not disappointed. We book at this hotel because of the facilities for children and the excellent service that you get.

We booked a suite and were lucky enough to have a fantastic room that gave us all of the space that we needed. The room are great and have every facility that you could need. Very comfy bed!

During this stay at the hotel we utilised every service in the hotel and for the first time we used a hotel babysitting service, we have never been sure about using this before but I have to say the babysitters were fantastic and we were allowed to meet them in the Penguin Club before booking. The Penguin Club is great, it has so much for the children to play with and great staff, even though our kids were too young we were allowed to stay with them and use all of the facilities, the kids were even given some chocolate milk and a cookie!

We had booked on a half board basis and would urge everyone to do the same. The buffet has everything you could want and also some things you didnt know you wanted! Its also open until 22.30 so if like us you are working to a differing timezone for the kids, it still fits in.

As I said above, my wife and I used the babysitting service a few times and were able to sample some of the other restaurants in the hotel (for being Half Board you get 150AED per person allowance). We first went to Maya, mexican. Great food and a fantastic HB menu that meant we didnt need to go a la carte. Excellent atmosphere and very laid back. We had drinks in Zengo, which is a must! The decor is just sumptous and you could lose hours in here. Our last meal at the hotel was in Geales, authentic British cuisine with a fresh fish bar. Fantastic food and in great surroundings.

The grounds in this hotel are vast, 4 pools, 1 which is ideal for the kids as it is sloped and always for toddling in the shallow water. The beach is so clean and easy to access. The playgrounds have everything young kids could want and they have even got a little crazy golf course. Honestly, if you have young kids (ours are 3 and 1) then this hotel is ideal.

Lastly, the service, the staff, no matter what their role are so attentive and willing to help. It would be wrong to mention just one member of the team because they are all great.

Tip: If you have a late flight, dont be afraid to ask for a half day rate on your room.

This has been a much needed fantastic family holiday, we are no heading back to London for Christmas but not before having booked to return in April.

This has to be my favourite hotel in the world. Over the years I have been back regularly and the service and facilities are always superb. We were welcomed back by a familiar face, Roy the butler who is an institution at the hotel. In the lift one couple said how good it was to see him again and brought good wishes from another couple who Roy must also have looked after.
The club facilities were great and after going there so often, I now know many of the staff.
The rooms are luxurious and always a bonus, free internet.
It is always great to go back to a hotel where you always know the service will be superb and it is easy to see how this hotel wins awards year after year.
I will be back

Room Tip: High with a sea view

First impressions were good as the hotel is in the city and there are a couple of restaurants and supermarkts accross the road.

Room: Room 220 in the main block had a sea view and was large, very well serviced, with a luxuriously comfortable bed; the only downside being a dingy little balcony that never caught the sun. The airconditioning was a bit loud but on the plus side, it did drown out the noise from the music from the restaurants - at one point the bed was vibrating from the thumping music.

Dinning: There was a vast variety at breakfast to the same good standards as any decent 5* hotel. However The Brasserie had some of the best quality food we've ever had. Everything tasted authentic and we even had made to order naan bread. We were there on a half board basis which is economical if you are planning to eat at the hotel as food is quite expensive otherwise. We didn't dine at the other restaurants as when we checked the half board options at Al Khalili, the food was standard Lebanese-type fare rather than Emirati cuisine however we were more than happy with the food in The Brasserie.

Beach: The hotel is on the public beach but with a private area for hotel guests leading down to the beach so the deck chairs are about a couple of minutes walk from the water edge but this is the quiet end of Jumeriah beach so it's very pleasant (apart from a couple of bi-planes that kept flying over the beach).

Gym: This was fantastic, open 24 hours, very well equiped and the Gym Instructor, Michael is to be commended. Michael was so helpful, spotting whenever I was unfamiliar with a machine and coming over to show me how to use them safely as well as giving me tips on new exercises. He is the best instructor I've seen in any hotel gym.

Service overall was excellent and I hope that staff are paid an ethical amount as they work long hours very cheerfully. Overall I'd recommend this hotel if you don't mind loud music at night.

This is our third visit to this hotel. Each experience has exceeded our expectations. Sometimes memories can be exaggerated and return visits can disappoint, but not here. The staff, all staff from the pool and towel attendants to the management, but specifically in our experience, the Executive lounge personnel, demonstrate the very highest standards of hospitality.
Yet again, a truly magnificent experience and, yet again, we are deeply sad that we have to leave.

Room Tip: We have been luckily assigned a suite on two of our three visits and would recommend these most high...

A friend and I booked Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa for Friday brunch recently. It was the perfect choice. The Mexican food was excellent and plentiful. We were taken care of by Nabil and Gen with a standard of service as good as any I've ever received. Having brunch also entitled us to use the hotel's pool and beach facilities. The cost was AED 450 (around £80) per person which included food and drinks between 1.00 and 4.00 plus the use of those facilities. Good value indeed! I would happily go back on my next visit to Dubai and probably will.
