“2 Day stopover”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

We decided to stay here on the way to Mauritius, and had a really good value upgrade when we arrived.
The room and bathroom was very spacious, and our balcony looked out over the Creek and the City. Amazing view of the Burj Khalifa.
Included in the upgrade was afternoon tea, and evening "nibbles" and drink. I cheekily ask for a glass of champagne, and they bought a bottle over for the four of us to share, which was a nice touch.
On one of the evenings I had booked the Al Mansour Dhow, this was done direct with hotel and is much cheaper than going through an agent. Lovely evening and plentiful fresh food. Definetely will go back to this hotel,

Great location, amazing staff was so helpful. Excellent price considering the lovely view across the Dubai creek, loads of restaurants and not really expensive.

I have transited through Dubai dozens of times now, and usually stay in a different hotel each time, just to see which I like best. I'll be staying at the Radisson Blu from now on. Although the pool was being renovated during my stay, everything else about the place is perfect. Nice, largish guest rooms, lots of good restaurants, great view of Dubai Creek and right next to the metro. Radisson also has a really generous frequent guest program.

We had never been in Dubai before and had no idea in which area to book a hotel, but lucky us who choose Radisson Blu. We could easily walk to the souks, to a local city center close by. We had excellent view over the Creek and a balcony. Easy way to/ from the airport. We stayed at a club room which was very good value for money. Highly recommended. Excellent service, quiet and lovely breakfast. We will certainly choose the same hotel if we go back one day. Unfortunatly the swimmingpool-area was closed at the time we stayed there, but we had some busy days so we did not really miss it too much.

I have already planned my next trip to this hotel. Dubai is one place I could actually see myself packing up and living. We stayed at the Raddison Blu 29 Sep - 6 October 2012 ( yes I know, very late). This hotel is located right across the street from the metro station, which by far is one of the most easiest rail systems I had ever used. The staff was absolutely amazing. Every day was an adventure for us. We could not get enough of Niesmi Beach it's a must you visit if you come to Dubai (train will take there).

This was the first five star hotel in Dubai which was started in the 1970s. But don't get scared. Its well maintained, spacious and they compensate the negative side with a absolutely service oriented staff.

The check-in was very fast. The room they initially allotted to me was had two small beds. So when I requested for a room with a single king size bed, it was immediately accepted. The bellboy was in my room in seconds to help shift the luggage. The bed is comfortable with different pillow options. There is good choice of channels on tv, if you have time.

Like in other Radisson blu's, they give free wifi, which saves you lot of money, since hotel internet in Dubai is usually expensive. The wifi is reliable and of reasonable good speed.

The major attraction nearby is the creek. While checking-in, please ask for creek facing room. The swimming pool is being refurbished, so if you have a city view room, then the drapes need not be opened. The union metro station is a 2 min walk. As in many big cities of the world, the metro is the best way to travel in Dubai.

The main downside of the hotel in the breakfast. Its expensive and not so great. The same menu is served everyday and its not elaborate. But they have several restaurants in the hotel and I was told that they are good. They have also a pub/night club in the hotel.

The hotel is a 15 min drive from the airport, if the roads are clear. Alternatively, you can also take the metro, if you don't have huge luggage's. Would surely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Dubai, whether for business or leisure.

I was on business in Dubai for a few days and wanted a hotel close to central old Dubai, so this was perfect. Airport pickup was very on time, friendly and with the usual services expected of a 5* hotel, cold water, cold towels, newspapers etc. It’s only about a 15 drive to Dubai airport.
The hotel is large with very friendly reception staff. Check in was quick, and my bags were brought to my room promptly. The room was great. Granted the Radisson is one of the older hotels in Dubai, but it still has the cleanliness and luxury that you would expect from any 5* hotel. My room was a standard room, but was huge. All rooms have balconies with lovely views of the creek, and across to the new part of Dubai. You can see the Burj al Khalifa from the hotel too (albeit through a sun haze and sand in the air!). There are plenty of restaurants and a couple of shops in the hotels mall area. I ate in the Asian noodle restaurant and it was very good with good service.
Breakfast is excellent, a good choice of fresh fruit and hot and cold food.
I didn’t use the pool or gym, but my husband has stayed at this hotel too on business and said the outdoor pool was really nice, but be careful in the sun!
The location is good if you want to explore around the creek and Deira, you can walk to the Deira in a few minutes and the Souks are only 10 mins by taxi. I think you could probably walk this in about 30 mins, but it was just too hot for me. It’s easy to get a taxi to the modern malls, it can take 30-45 mins depending on traffic, but taxis are cheap.
