“Good place for family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

The hotel is good to stay with family, very good location (5 minutes from Khalifa Tower)
Luxury rooms with good amenties, very friendly staff.

High floors is better for nice view. The only problem is the street is noisy.

Room Tip: All rooms with nice view, try to book high floors

Good choice for families . Same as chelsea tower . Have free valet service . Small lobby . Beside khalfa tower . Needs 4 minutes walking to the nearest metro station . Opposite of villa rotana hotel.
There a laundry , ATM machine , supermarket beside the hotel.

1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Seduced with the "fabulous" reviews on Booking.com, we decided to book in this property for our family trip to Dubai. Although, you can easily spot the building while driving down Sheikh Zayed Rd towards Dubai Mall, you have to go through a maze of unfinished streets and unpaved roads to reach the building entrance. This 40+ story, high rise building's entrance is the smallest I have ever seen for a building of its size. Trying to unload my car was a nightmare in the tiny drive through. The lobby was small and the layout made it even smaller with huge sofas for the tiny space a definite interior design failure (where every inch counts in small lobby of a huge 40 story hotel apartments building). It was high season in Dubai and the hotel lobby was exploding with families of all nationalities but mainly from the neighboring gulf states. I presented our reservation printout and "Mr Ali" eagerly checked us in. The confused and overworked Mr Ali, took my ID and scanned it then placed it in his pocket! We went to the lifts and there were 5 of them (4 in operation). Waited for about 5 minutes, and went up to our 2-bedroom apartment on the 35th floor. Swiped the entry card, got in the apartment and to our surprise, the apartment was just rented out to another family who screamed to their heads "get out". Horrified with what just happened, the shocked wife and kids ran back to the corridor and spotted the housekeeping supervisor. The lady was sympathetic and immediately called downstairs and we went back to the reception!! The front desk staff including Mr. Ali could not care less. They completely ignored the fact that we were made to break through someone's privacy and of course no one bothered to even say "sorry"! The check in was then processed by another lady "could not catch her name" who said that the room is being prepared up in 42nd floor. This took about 45 minutes of waiting in the packed lobby. I insisted someone escort us to the rooms because we did not no more unpleasant surprises. The replacement apartment was also 2-bedroom but it smelled terrible as someone has just smoked in it and left the doors closed. We waited yet again for housekeeping to refresh the apartment as we were so tired to fight with the front desk to provide us with our booked "non-smoking" apartment. Housekeeping did their best by spraying the rooms with "deodorants".

The apartment is new and the furniture also looked new. The floors however were sticky and there were leftovers from previous guests (maybe housekeeping had no time to properly clean before we were switched to this place). There was plenty of room in the sitting room which had a 6 seater dining table and fully equiped kitchen. The utensils although new, looked like they were not properly cleaned. The master bedroom was spacious. The second bedroom had 2 single beds. There was LCD TV in each room. There was also 2 bathrooms with the necessary toiletries and plenty of towels in addition to guest washrooms. Connected to the kitchen there was a maid's room with its private bathroom (which is handy for bigger families traveling with their domestic helpers). The beds were comfortable. The AC in the master bedroom was not working. Maintenance staff were useless and we simply left the doors open for air circulation. The apartment has a partial view of Burj Khalifa and also Sheikh Zayed Road, however the glass is so dirty and covered with dust (from the ongoing construction around the hotel), that you barely can see through it. At night the view (that the hotel charges you extra for) is completely obliterated by the extreme humidity and precipitation. There was an iron and ironing table available which was a plus. Additionally, the wireless internet was available en suite and free of charge.

This hotel apartments has a separate (connected with sky walk) multistory car park. However, there is a big sign saying that SUVs and family cars are not allowed because the drive through is small and cannot accommodate those (so inconvenient for guests/families). I had to leave my car parked outside the apartment for that matter and so did the hundreds of other guests.

As far as recreation goes, the parking building has health club (with well stocked gym) and a nice swimming pool (could do better with more shades). Life guard was available. There was also sauna and steam room for your pleasure (but I only used the gym while the kids used the swimming pool).

We checked out around noon and will never return to this place again. For the price we paid we would get better service and more pleasant experience than what we had at City Premiere Hotel Apartments.

Room Tip: There is nothing special that this place offers. A lot of inconveniences (no parking for larger fami...
