“Very good hotel”

The Hilton Apartments is very convenient for location and families. It is located on the walk and right across the beach. The apartments are spacious and cleaned daily. We can use all of the facilities of the Hilton Resort including a private beach and swimming pool. The only downside was that the elevators were very slow.

just returned from our 10 days holiday. Family of 4, 2 adults 2 children 9 and 6. having checked in to our room, the was only one child's bed. i call the reception and asked whats going on we're family of 4, reply i got was you booked a studio which only sleeps 3, am like ooh, how can you take booking for family of 4 which clearly states on the booking confirmation letter 2 adults 2 child's, after 3 phone calls they have squeezed in another single bed. we booked room with sew view Lol the smallest window i have ever seen in a hotel, room was located on the 17th floor, getting the "LIFT" there is another story. you will be wasting half of you precious holiday time waiting for the lifts "worst in history of lifts" the best thing we got out this hotel was the staff at the restaurant, house keeping, life guards. they're the main structure of this hotel. they always go the extra mile to makes your day special. i didn't for one minute felt this hotel was 5 star.

We stayed at the Hilton Dubai the Walk for 3 weeks in August 2014. We found the Hilton positively luxurious by normal European standards, with a lovely pool area and great beach. Definitely relative value for money. But the real strength of this hotel is in the friendly service of the staff. With the exception of my arrival day on which I was a bit disappointed with the room type & room service, the interaction of the service team who fix this problem, has changed my experience extremely. We were traveling with two kids and the staff moved us to a balcony junior suite with sea view after 2 nights so that we got a separate rooms. The housekeeping staff were all smiles and creative designing our rooms, as were the pool/beach staff. The reception desk staff also deserve a special mention for friendliness and efficiency. On strength of staff, we would have rated this hotel excellent. Another positive is location: JBR walk is full of restaurants and cafes, and there are supermarkets and shops at the podium level, so you are not hostage to overpriced hotel food when you stay here (unlike some of the more isolated resorts). Negatives: lots of construction going on in JBR, including beside the hotel. View also being obscured by construction of a new man-made island about 200 metres from the Sheraton's beach - in future, this is supposed to host a fairground which will boast the world's largest ferris wheel! Traffic in and out of JBR can sometimes get a bit tricky, but we didn't have too many issues on this front.

I stayed at this hotel in March 2014 with my son who was almost one year old by that time.
We had booked a large room with a kitchen area and sea view.
We got a room in the third floor (of 42) and as I asked if we could het a room a bit higher up because of the noise from the street just outside the hotel, they said they didn't have any available that day. I really didn't like unpacking everything and settling down with my son and then packing again and moving the following afternoon. So we took the room they had prepared for us. They'd put a baby cot in the room, which was great!

The room was very big with a sofa group, kitchen, lovely bed and a nice bathroom. The fridge was full of beverages of all sort.

The staff was great! We were very welcome at the breakfast restaurant, reception, pool and the cleaning staff was very pollite and did a great job! The room was always very clean! A special thanks goes to Lydia in the breakfast restaurant for making sure my son got himself a balloon every morning! You really made him enjoy his mornings!

One thing I didn't like though was that as I was staying with a small child who needed to take a nap during the day, was that when my son was resting, I'd put out the "Do not disturb"-sign but then the cleaning staff would phone me in the room instead just to ask what time they could come and do the cleaning! And that telephone ringing would wake up my son! I mean there's a reason why people put out that sign, right!

At the restaurant the staff told me the hotel was half empty during our visit. That really made me wonder why we couldn't ave a room higher up than the third floor. The noise from the street was bad. There are lots of cars honking just outside your balcony windows all the night. So bring your earplugs! Also the extra I'd paid for the sea view was totally worthless. From the third floor I could see the hotel on the other side of the Walk and the roof of JBR mall.

The room service was quick and the prices were reasonable for being Dubai. But then again the room service would call you the next day to check if the food was OK. And usually they too would call when my son was asleep waking him up.

WiFi works well, but costs a lot! Spending this much for a hotel one would expect the wifi to be included in the price. But no. So be prepared to pay over 100€ if you want to use the hotel wifi for a week.

All in all I liked the hotel, the staff and our spacious room. But there were a lot of cons too which made me doubt coming back to this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room high up and you might avoid the noise from the Walk.

Staff and chef at the Hartisan and Crave restaurants were excellent and made our stay enjoyable and catered to all our needs, lovely people. The Grape bar staff were very good. Everyone very friendly. Booked all inclusive thought it included meals at both hotel's restaurants with no restrictions, but hotels idea of it not the same as the ones in Carribean etc. Al aCarte (which was nice but not what you'd expect on an English Menu) was extra so only allowed buffet but after saying we were limited to choice due to Hartisan not open they lets us have it included. Hartisan only open for breakfast during our stay, although you have a 90 aed allowance at other hotel for meals it doesn't cover much. Disappointed that brochures show Hilton as the one on the beach when in fact that the Hilton Residence is on the other side of the road. Their busy time is the next few months, although the hotel was full and pool was busy already. Agree with Diane C about check in must have been there same time. Deposit a bit strange first time we've ever been asked at any hotel in the past. If you've maxed out your credit card before to pay for holiday and stuff then don't know what they will do as they ask for quite large amounts. The Walk is lovely but far too hot to walk for long in August. Beach nice and sea very, very warm! If we go back will just do half or full board, so much cheaper!

Thanks to everybody at the Hilton. Our first trip to Dubai was last year, stayed at The Hilton JBR residences. Last years trip was excellent, and a return trip this year has proved to be excellent once again. I was travelling with my two teenage sons who as I had the time of our lifes. Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. I will without doubt return as soon as possible. We were incredibly well looked after, staff were fantastic. The gentleman from housekeeping I think (Ralph) who helped to find my sons iphone that became temporarily lost while changing rooms was lovely, so again thanks to him. Very special thanks also to Vijay who works at the Hartisan. He has to be the the most charming waiter ever, making the best cappuchinos. We are in touch with him and now he is a special friend. Thankyou Hilton yet again. Vijay we will see you soon. Dallas Henry and Will (Smith).

Room Tip: Personally we liked sea view and with a balcony. De luxe suite gave us a lovely kitchen to use also...

fantastic hotel based on the prime location on the walk. i stayed here for 7 night with wife and 2 kids. had no problems friendly staff and service was 10/10. i would definitely go back to this hotel.
