Having no point of reference for this Spanish chain of hotels, I really didn’t expect anything, my booking was only on price through booking.com and I liked the look of the hotel. Being in Dubai only for a short weekend, I decided to give this hotel a try.
What strikes you at first is this ultra-chic modern design of the hotel and its intimate feel. It gives you the feel of a very modern boutique hotel where attention to artistic design has been a key focus.
The lobby has a small atrium with a huge art installation hanging. The glass lifts face a huge art sculpture collection. Walking in the room, that hotel starts to reveal where it really has given attention to detail. The rooms are amazing. The sleek design of the furnishing and amenities is incredible. The TV is built into the mirror of the room and looks super sleek. However the big winner are the luxury bathrooms a huge stand-alone tub ideal for a romantic couple to snuggle, soak and relax. In addition it has a beautiful rain-shower booth.
We ate at a high-end Indian restaurant by Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapur there were amazing Indian fusion food with western style presentation. I also had a lovely time at the pool bar on the roof. They serve Shisha (hubble-bubble) in the evening along with a very happening dj giving it a great roof-top lounge.
My one criticism is that they have a very strange front entrance – you enter into a basement car park and take a lift 1 level up to enter the lobby – so there is no door directly from the street, if you want to walk, you exit into the car park and walk the ramp up… yes very strange!
Overall, from the staff, to the modern design elements, to the amazing food choices available, this small property packs a big punch!
I loved it! – will definitely revisit.
