We went to Bahri Bar based on the Trip Advisor reviews and the fact it is a must visit.
We were staying at completely the other end of Dubai, and wanting to do things how we would in London we decided to get the tube and then walk from the Mall of the Emirates station down. Now this would have been genius if only we knew exactly where Bahri Bar was and if it wasn't 42 degrees; be aware it is a 2km walk so be prepared. I knew it was in Jumeirah so we circled the hotel and ended up at the climbing wall, the souk and canal before heading back to reception just to find out that we had walked past it near the beginning!
Once inside the reception area is beautiful with stunning smelling flower arrangement and great decor. The bar was busy and noisy but we were served quickly by a very friendly batman who made us a cocktail each which was fruity and fun. Be aware that the happy hour no longer extends to cocktails, just spirits. We had good timing and managed to get a table outside facing the Burj Al Arab with a feint view of the Atlantis Palm in the far distance.
Watching the subset from this setting was truly wonderful and was worth the faffing of finding the place for that alone.
We got peckish and had 4 plates between the 2 of us which came to about £20. These are tapas style plates and I would recommend ordering 6 between 2 for a more decent sized meal.
The service was fast and very friendly.
I would say the only negative were the people who were actually staying at the hotel; I guess they were all inclusive as all the people who seemed far too drunk to really stand all had black wristbands on which was a shame, however I guess you have money, but that doesn't necessarily bring class.
I would absolutely recommend Bahri for the amazing view, great atmosphere and hotel surroundings.
