“Good hoel excellent services”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

The hotel is located in Jumeirah and what is really good is that is away from the 10 lane highway crossing Dubai (many hotels are located near the highway). Distances to temain objectives are not relevant because taxi services are really good and prices are really cheap (the most expensive trip was arround 10 euro to Burj Kalifa). Rooms are spacious and bathroms also.
What can be criticized is the air conditioned sistem- because I couldn't set a temperature. In fact you can set a temperature but the sistem will keep working and the room will go bellow 20 degrees celsius (possible that I have a broken system in my room).
I didn't gave maximumpoints to sleep quality because the bed is at least weird: is very wide I think arround 2 meters but is short in lenght (for a 1.86m person).
Services are at high standards . Roof pool is nice and clean.

Love this hotel as it is NEW and good value for money. I love the ambience. The staff are friendly and once can walk into a room with animal characters made from towels... Room service menu is nice and recommend the Spaghetti Aglio & Olio - ask for pine nuts in it if not walnuts. I have stayed for 30 days in October and currently April 2012 I am staying for a further 21 days, hopefully. The Spa is average but pool deck nice... but hot tub is for one only... Location is fantastic with restaurants, clubs, pubs etc at arms length. Ask for the rooms at far end for example 408 is a lovely room with city views and quiet away from lifts... housekeeping very friendly and always giving extra soaps and towels if need be. The hotel staff make this hotel a happy friendly place. Hopefully they keep it fresh and not like other hotels that stink of smoke and stale air... I will be back as long as they offer good rates to us regulars... WELL DONE GUYS!

Room Tip: Far away from lifts....for example 408 etc...u get a city skyline view and away from noise...

The Ramada Jumeirah, in Dubai is a new and modern hotel; everything that you would expect from a 4 star hotel is available. The Hotel is close to the dry docks area, and about 10 minutes drive from the Malls – not as central as other hotels are

Rooms are nice and they still have that “newness” these things can have. The view from the rooms is awful just empty sandy areas – nothing to see -
Restaurants are nice though the décor is a little sterile.
The roof top swimming pool is nice, and the friendly bar atmosphere is very welcoming.

The staffs in general are very welcoming and extremely helpful and polite – a trait I am often looking for.
Internet is not for free, you pay approximately €15 per day

The hotel ranks about 7/10 for me.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same...! Though the highier you go the less street noise you hear

Had a rest in RAMADA Jumeira with 11.03.12 till 24.03.12. The hotel very much was pleasant to us. Friendly personnel, remarkable service, good food. The personnel always quickly reacted to our requests. Separate thanks to concierge Moustapha for professionalism and the help in various questions and also for excellent possession of Russian. The Smile-men with a coffee pot in a hall was very much remembered. Thanks for your smiles. Anna and Alexander.

Went to Dubai for my birthday and decided on this hotel for the price and location. We had a rocky start with this hotel - room wasn't ready, then were given a smoking double (when we had asked for a non smoking twin - (unsure but may have been down to Expedia not giving them the details) but once we finally got our room, we were not disappointed. The room was a nice size, beds were comfortable, and a decent amount of wardrobe and cupboard space, along with comfy chairs and tables. There were dressing gowns and slippers in our cupboard. Tea, coffee, and bottled water were provided complimentary every day in our rooms which was appreciated. There was a mini bar but we had it cleared out so we could use the fridge for other things. And the bathroom was very nice, not exceptionally big but enough room to have a clear closed off section for the bath and shower (with two separate heads!).

We didn't eat in the restaurants that the hotel has or use the bars unfortunately, but we did use room service. My friend had dinner in the room the first night and said it was good and as we were too late (or lazy) getting up for breakfast the next day we decided to order breakfast. I have to say that breakfast was delightful - we went for the American breakfast and there was a sufficient amount of food. There was chicken sausage, bacon (not pork), toast, mini muffins and croissants, yoghurt, cereal, hash brown and the cocktail juice (recommended). Later that day the hotel surprised me with a birthday cake which was a really nice touch.

In terms of price and location, this hotel isn't cheap but then it is very reasonable in relation to a lot of other hotels in Dubai. We had wanted to stay in a beachside hotel but the prices were too high for us. We chose this hotel as it mentioned free shuttles to the beach which was fine for us. Even though we only used the shuttle once I recommend it. The free public beach was 5 minutes in the shuttle! Jumeirah Beach Park (paid beach) was only another 5 or 10 minutes after that so in terms of location for the beach, the hotel is great. We actually just took the shuttle to Dubai Mall which didn't take too long to get to. You do have to go everywhere in a taxi though but they aren't that expensive and the hotel can hail them for you. There is a mini mall within 5 minutes walking distance, it doesn't have much but is where we picked up breakfast / snacks from Carrefour and another eatery) and it also has a foreign currency bureau.

We didn't use the gym or pool but I did use the jacuzzi which was nice and had a massage which was needed. I do think the hotel should consider adding a few other treatments.

Unfortunately, on our last day / night we did encounter a problem with the shower - it was running cold and while they sent someone to fix it, all they did was leave the tap running to try and get the hot water to come...while it got warmer, it didn't sort itself out properly till the morning. Also, there was a notice that there wouldn't be any running water for the early hours of the same morning which may not be a problem if you are sleeping but if you're just returning from a night out its not very pleasant. Anyway, this was a minor issue in what was a very pleasant stay in a very good hotel. I would recommend and I would stay there again if returning in Dubai.

Having stayed at a few hotels in Dubai I felt the hotel rooms were pretty standard. The rooms themselves were slightly on the small size and the bathroom was definitely small and as there wasn't a balcony they were claustrophobic. However, there was a nice pool area (with a bar!) up on the roof which was a relaxing place to spend some outdoor time. We were given our room earlier than advertised which was a nice bonus.

I strongly feel that hotels of this level should provide free internet access, and it's one of the first things I check before booking. However, on this occasion I forgot and was extremely disappointed in their per hour charge for internet access. Very disappointing.

As my stay was very short the helpfulness of the staff made up for the small room but the fact the internet wasn't free means I certainly won't stay at this hotel again.
