Description: Jamie's Italian is a collection of Jamie Oliver restaurants and was inspired by Italy and many of its traditions and values. Jamie's Italian features fantastic, rustic dishes, using recipes that Jamie Oliver loves! Located by the creek in Festival City and being his first restaurant outside the UK it holds a special place in our hearts.

“Pretty Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Nothing special, REALLY !!!!. Maybe it is a matter of managing the expectations. I cook from Jamie Oliver's cookbooks and know him from some TV programs. This particular restaurant does not do the service to Jamie's image. It is truly mediocre place; average service, average decor and pretty untasty food - the biggest disappointment. Nothing to ad !!!.
If I were Jamie, I would not put my name on this establishment.

“Great Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Came here on Valentines day. Wasn't really expecting much. But we were quite happy with the service, quality and taste of the food. We started of with a Bruschetta served 4 ways which was a nice way to start the meal and was very different to some of the bruschettas we've had elsewhere. For the mains we had a Salmon steak, and also mushroom ravioli. Both of the dishes were simply outstanding with right mix of flavours and seasoning. We were immediately converted and have become fans of Jamie. If there was a small complaint then it would have been the Tiramisu. This was more of a cake rather than tiramisu, also the alcohol in the tiramisu was really overpowering the flavours of the tiramisu. This was the only disappointment to what was an otherwise outstanding meal. We will definitely be back again to try the other dishes.

“Lovely, casual Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Lovely food, well prepared and presented.
The place markets itself as "rustic" and that is a fair assessment.
Not formal or stuffy, but laid back and relaxed. It is more a place to go with the family or a group of friends, rather than your Date.
We had a delicious meal and attentive, smiling service at a reasonable price.
We had an early lunch and the place was quite empty. I can imagine that if they fill all 300 or so seats, the place would be pumping.
If they would open a branch of this restaurant with this calibre of cooking and service (and resist the temptation of filling kitchen and service with SE-Asian labourers, where everything will soon taste like chicken Korma), in Oman, the place would be well received by the community.

“Lovely food and even better service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

14 of us went for a Friday Family brunch. The food was excellent, but the single biggest advantage of this restaurant are the wonderful staff. They all went out of their way to make the afternoon as pleasant as possible. They were tolerant of our kids and even let them 'help out' a little. Enjoy everything this place has to offer by giving it a try.

“Simple but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This restaurant is a good quality, simple, unpretentious place to eat with friends.

The food is good quality and the choice varied. Just what you'd expect from Jamie Oliver.

The ambience of the venue is a little questionable as is often the way when the interior designer has tried to create a trattoria feel within the confines of a spanky new building. It feels a bit like it was delivered flat-packed with Italian tat already nailed to the walls.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Dubai (it's about 15 minutes taxi from Burj Khalifa).

Prices are not too steep.
