The only good thing about this hotel is its locaton. Everything else is not worth its price- the rooms are extremely small, noisy and smelly, the cleaning of them is made very rarely (only when you desperately start searching for the staff). And if you're on the lower leves, like in my case- the 2nd floor, I guarantee you won't be able to fall asleep thanks to the bar of the hotel. What's more, there were some elementary hygiene accessories missing, or like a bottle of water, which are a ''must'' for a 3-star hotel. And about the wi-fi, you can only count on your good luck to connect to it at the lobby of the hotel (if it is working of course).
And now, about the restaurant- I am left with no comment from the extreme lack of hospitality and slowness of the Phillipinian waitresses that work there.
I will never visit this hotel again and I'll recommend to all of my friends to avoid going there so that they won't get as disappointed as I did. For the same money, I'll have stayed at Ramada Hotel( 4 stars) in the same area.
Oh, and one more thing- the receptionists are only kind and polite until you give them your money. Afterwards, they just try to avoid seeing you in order not for you to ask them something.

well,its a good hotel for a short stay, all resturants and other local stores are nearby the hotel, the bar was excellent, & the room was equally comfortable...easy check in and check out, would definitely stay again..cheers!

Hotel Citymax Al Barsha is located in Al barsha Business district behind the mall of Emirates and is a good budget hotel with good clean rooms and good service. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The dubai metro is also close by and one can get ample public transportation options from here. Breakfast served is also good though choices are not much. Overall a very good budget hotel to stay in Dubai.

I stayed her for 10 days. It was pretty good. room was clean, small but comfortable. Bed sheets were great! Air conditioning workied well but it was winter time so the weather is pretty cool anyway. I liked the little pool on the roof. it was packed on sunny days with bikini clad western girls. A nice plus for most. The biggest disapointment was ONLY one bottle of water on you get on your first day of arrival. I called and tried to get more water, but I guess two rooms at 10 days each is still not enough business for them to give you an extra 1 duram bottle of water in your room.

Both bars (sports and band bar) were fun and entertaining when arriving back late from a work day. Food was good and portions good size, but the menus is the same in both bars.

You are really just a short walk from the mall of emirates which is much fun for shopping and quick access to the metro system! Buy your water here too.

This is a great place to stay if you are on business and visiting Dubai and your destination/conference/expo is close to the metro line.

Breakfast is ok.. but nearly the same every day. Coffee was good!
