“Great fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

The park is great to spend a day in the sun with friends!

I personally don't like slides but there is the lazy river that can definitely put a smile on your face and keep you busy all day. Some parts of the lazy river makes you feel like you are on the wild water rafting!

Don't forget the sun-blocker, July is extremely hot!

There is something for everyone. You can go and watch dolphins or even swim with them. The park is green and clean! There is a beautiful empty beach with the most still water I have ever seen.

Worth visiting!

“Worth it despite the high cost”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Went on the last day of our holiday visiting friends who live in Dubai and had a really good day out. We arrived just after 11.30 and had to queue for 45 minutes to buy tickets - this was a weekday, but probably worse than a normal weekday as Eid began the day after. The queues for the main rides were also long, but just on the bearable side.

The Leap of Faith slide (kamikaze style - the only ride you do without an inflatable ring) was even faster/crazier than I expected, great stuff, and the other main rides were really good too. But maybe the best part of this place is the Rapids/Torrent/generally all the channels you can float around for hours, hitting fast bits and slow bits and then finding yourself heading up a conveyor belt to start one of the faster rides, which dropped you back down to float off again.

Entry is expensive (look for offers) as is the locker charge - we used two lockers between four of us. Despite being there for six hours, we didn't eat but the drinks were relatively reasonably priced for the sort of place and delicious, freshly made, from milkshakes to fresh juices and coffees.

Just a great relaxing day with some good, exciting rides thrown in. Would definitely recommend avoiding weekends and holidays - and worth getting there for opening when you could get on all the big rides without queueing, for your first time around anyway!

“Fun but expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We were really excited to go to Aquaventure having heard great things about the rides and it was not a let down. All the slides start from the same central "pyramid" with the best slides (at least in our opinion) at the top. The Leap of Faith was as fast as advertised and the two seater inflatable rings were a nice touch to allow you to ride alongside a partner / friend.

All in all there were seven slides and two sets of "rapids", all of which we had finished within 90 minutes of arriving (we had arrived as the park opened to avoid queues, arriving later will mean queues of up to 30 minutes for the more popular rides). After finishing the park we went to the private beach which was very nice with clean sand and crystal clear water.

The only issue is with price. We paid over 500 AED (just under £100) for the day including locker hire. Drinks inside cost the equivalent of £3 for a standard bottle of coke. When you work it out on a per slide / per minute basis it's all rather expensive. Still, once you get over the price it is undoubtedly a fun day out. If you come as a family or intend on doing a lot of tourist-y activities the buy-one-get-one-free offers in the Entertainer will serve to soften the hit on the wallet.

“Amazing little water park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Fun for all! The marine life here is very cool! The slides were all very fun and well put together. Most walkways are covered so our feet were ok even under the sun of Dubai!

“Ideal for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

This place is a heaven for children and parents as well. Lots of activity and it's totally safe as the guards are too many and very friendly and helpful. Actually I didn't play too much as I was busy with my little boy 11 month old. Just make sure to use the sun block as it get little hot in the afternoon and secure your kiddies with life jackets it's free. The food is a little expensive inside and no food is allowed from outside.
