“High end family hotel”

Be warned. This hotel and Dubai in general is an expensive destination. However the Atlantis delivers excellent value for money. A great selection of places to eat, book your table early to avoid disappointment. We particularly enjoyed the Lebanese and the Steakhouse. Luxury rooms and service. Pool areas and waterpark offered plenty of fun plus quieter areas to relax. We are a family consisting of two adults and two boys aged 10 and 12. For the first time ever none of us were ready to come home which is testament to how well the Atlantis looks after you.

This hotel is pure luxury. We loved every bit of it. The room was amazing, and room services very prompt and efficient. All areas in the hotel were beautiful and well maintained.
The food was unbelievable!! So many restaurants. We went half board, if you go half board, it's important to know that it runs on a points system so you can use them whenever you feel! You can check the points at reception too. It's well worth going half board, breakfast alone wound have been £60 every morning if not!! We tried quite a few of the restaurants, but our favourites were probably the Lebanese and Chinese restaurant! Although we couldn't fault any!
The water park is a fantastic bonus, make sure you take advantage! It's definitely one of the best water parks I've been too! Definitely competes with disney!
If you fly with emirates, be sure to sign up to the sky ward package online. This way you get free wifi and 15% off all drinks and the spa!!
We visited the spa on the last day, so worth it! Beautiful spa with amazing facilities and the service was unreal.
I couldn't even begin to fault this hotel, it's very hard to get down how amazing it is into words without writing an essay. I hope to return one day.

We stayed at Atlantis for 11 days during April.
I had read all the reviews on trip adviser, so I had a really good idea what to expect.
Starting with a little negative, the only thing I can say is it's extremely expensive.even if you have half board, drinks are ridiculously priced and the extra charge at certain restaurants are crazy. So that was a bit disappointing.

But on the positive side it was amazing for my 4 year old twins. They had so much to do and as all parents know, if your kids are happy then you are happy.
The pools are amazing. Life guards everywhere, life jackets for kids too.
The water park was so much fun. Even though my kids were not old enough to use all the facilities there was still so many kiddie slides.

The check in was so quick even though so many people on trip adviser commented on the poor service at reception, our experience was wonderful.

Rooms are great too. Simple but everything you need.

My twins got terribly ill during our trip so we had to see the doctor at the hotel a few times. She was amazing. So you can feel relaxed going there knowing the medical care is wonderful.

Overall if you have children its an amazing hotel to stay at.

hotel is great, including pools, restaurants, facilities etc..
there's a lot of kids running around but we went expecting this.
it does add to the atmosphere and the entertainment caters to it (shark tank etc..)
obviously this hotel is at the end of a main-made island so naturally (can i use that word? is anything natural in dubai??) it's a bit isolated from everything else but thankfully cabs are cheap so not a huge problem....

would i stay here again? probably, but i would look around for something different if a suitable offer came up.

We have stayed at the hotel twice in the past but this trip was extra special as we got engaged here at the Royal Beach. My partner arranged the package before we arrived and the whole experience was amazing!

We had a private cabana on the royal beach, under which we enjoyed a six course dinner with champagne. The food was cooked by our own chef and included wagyu beef - all courses tasted incredible!

The evening was topped off by our butler, Bernard, who really went the extra mile to ensure our evening was special. He was so friendly, knowledgable about the food, attentive, yet gave us the space to enjoy our evening. He really is a credit to the hotel and we could not have asked for better service from him.

We had the half board option and ate at Saffron every morning and Shark Bites for lunch. The variety is great and you really do get your money's worth.

Thanks Atlantis!

The hotel is very luxurious. rooms are nice. meeting room was good too.
food was very nice with wide variety.
the aqua park is excellent, great experience.
the only annoying this is the helicopter base next to the hotel which gave me headache during the day. the metro station doesn't go to the hotel so u have to take a taxi.
Having no wifi in the room was very annoying to me.

Room Tip: choose a room in the east tower away from the helicopter base

Just returned from a week at Atlantis, we got a really good deal through Expedia so ended up staying for a lot less than what is considered normal, had we paid more the review would have been scored lower. The good bits; the rooms are fantastic, we had the basic level and had a king size with full balcony (most have just a juliet) we were in the east tower overlooking the water park and aquarium tank, lovely views of the burj Al Arab and khalifa could be seen. The complimentary toiletries and bathrobes were a nice touch. The pool/beach/water park were all brilliant, always sun beds, complimentary beach towels and plenty of shade could be found which is needed in the 40c heat! The water park is complimentary for guests and it is fab! I've given it its own review on the relevant page. The bad bits; it's a tourist attraction, whilst they stop day guests entering the lobby, the area with the shops and restaurants (the avenues) is packed full of day trippers, worse on Friday and Saturdays. Food/drink - we had not selected half board so it was very expensive to eat and drink on site, and the location at the top of the Palm meant a 20 minute taxi to the walk at JBR or the Emirates mall where you can find reasonably priced food. Go b&b minimum would be my tip if you really want to stay here (however buffet restaurant kaleidoscope, had the biggest queues we've ever seen for breakfast on the Friday!) We wanted to go to the beach bar nassimi. On Thursday and Friday they were ticketed events, no advanced warning to guests, the music was loud and at 10pm there were no other casual places to grab a cocktail so we would have to go and dress up just to have a drink, so didn't bother. Emirates skywards members are given complimentary internet connection and 15% off food in all restaurants, we told reception at check in we didn't have our card, we were told this wouldn't be an issue, go and print one in the business centre. We did and it worked for one day before we were told only real cards! This was disappointing as we weren't expecting this perk, yet kind of had our hopes of enjoying more on site dashed by the ridiculous prices. We ended up using Atlantis as a hub which is a shame as it's fabulous, however we wished we'd stayed at Jumeriah beach residence which is located far better, and just visited the water park. Also don't even bother going in the aquarium it's awful. Overall a good stay but not great, staff were lovely which is nice and they do make you feel welcome, just more of a tourist attraction than a hotel
