This is a great place to bring the children, We have stayed here 3/4 times, the first time we had a room on a lower floor, that looked right over the top of the aquarium, which the children loved. the last couple of times we have stayed in a room on the 18th floor with a fantastic view back to Jumeriah beach. The view is fab, on a clear day you can see the Burg kalifa, right along to the marina. Also over the water park next door, and to the night view of all the lights. Everything about this hotel is clean, and staff are all very good, the only down side, is that is not like staying in a holiday hotel, it feels like staying at an attraction, that draws, 100's of visitors in everyday. Which you can understand as there are some great restaurants, the hotel itself is a wonder, and the water park amazing. The buffet restaurants Kaleidoscope, and saffron, the breakfast is amazing, everything you could ever want. The evening buffets are fantastic too, with so much variety, it is great for the children who are not sure what they like. I particularly like the French restaurant, Rostang, and every Thursday night, it has a fish buffet, which is fabulous value, and included lobster, Yum, Great cuisine paired with great wines. Choose between six main courses and take your pick from the seafood and oyster bar, a fresh salad bar, artisan breads, fine French cheeses and a selection of sweet desserts.
The standards Rooms are quite small, but the bathroom does have a bath and walk in shower, the beds are extremely comfortable. The pools are both lovely, although I prefer to sit around the Zero entry pool as it is more relaxing than the royal pool. Unfortunately the beach is not great, especially after staying at the Jumeriah Madinar and al qasar. The Lost Chambers aquarium is delightful and cool, a daily visit for tranquility is a must. Aquaventure Waterpark really is the high light of he hotel, mthe rides are fun and the par is extremely clean, more so the Wild and Wadi, the last time we stayed the children took part in the ray feeding, which is reasonably priced and a fabulous experience. Everything about the park really is amazing I can not fault it, for a relaxing spot head down towards Dolphin Bay, there are plenty of beds and it is not as noisy, with a cafe close. Thank you to all the staff for another great visit.

Check in was quick, rooms are ok, we had just the standard room. The bed was comfortable bathroom was big. But the hotel itself is huge. With heaps of shops, restaurants and a huge water park. They have free bus to take you to the big shopping malls. So if you have kid this is the perfect place to come. The water park and kids club will keep them busy while you can lay around the pool or go on the slides at the water park. Overall great place

Stayed here as the first part of our honeymoon and the place was great. Huge resort-type hotel with lots of bars, restaurants, shops inside and plenty of other things to do also - water park/aquarium/dolphins. Do them all!
It's not cheap here - so would recommend half board. Prices for drinks are extortionate - £10 approx for a pint or cocktail is around average in the restaurants and bars so find a few happy hours and knock yourself out!

We have been visiting Atlantis at the end of the school summer holidays for the last 3 years and every year we have been impressed with the facilities and service level at the hotel. This year however we saw a noticeable drop in standards.

From the start we were moved from one check in location to another (the West Wing). Having arrived at the West Wing check in we were offered breakfast but there were no clean tables free and when we did get a table we were then told breakfast was over (why offer us something that was not available - very annoying!). Then our bags went for a tour of the hotel and the reception staff seemed to have no idea where they had gone.

We booked a cabana in the water park at the West Wing reception desk and were told there was only one left (as it turned out this was the one next to the construction site of the new water slides - something they forgot to mention!). However as we went around the park nearly all the cabana's were available all day. I felt that they took advantage of our not knowing about the construction work to give us that cabana so that they could still try to sell the others to guests that followed on after us.

Eventually we reached the water park. We remember the water being cooled and this year it was very noticeable that the water was not being cooled as much as previous years and the water sprays that make the hot path surfaces bearable to walk on were not being used at all on the Thursday. They were however being used on the Friday.

Later we were given our room only now the room was in the East Wing so we then had to go to the East Wing check in to collect our key cards and after about 30 mins our cases finally caught up.

The staff in the East Wing check in and lounge were very good and much more clued up about the facilities in the hotel than the West Wing staff. In the end we were therefore happy that our room was finally in the East Wing.

We do still like the hotel and am sure we will give it one more chance but it seems that standards are being allowed to fall. The hotel is not cheap and now with all the other excellent hotels in Dubai the Atlantis management need to focus on maintaining its standards if it is to remain competitive.

Room Tip: Go for a room in the East Wing since the location, staff and service is much better.

Dear Guest,

We regret to read that your stay with us was not to your expectation this time around. We have sent you a private message and we would be grateful for your reply so that we may investigate further and have the opportunity to positively close your concerns.

Regarding the construction in Aquaventure, we are glad to announce that it is completed and the new rides are now open for our guests to enjoy. We sincerely hope that we will have the opportunity to have your feedback on these new and exciting rides in a very near future.

We stated here for two nights as a stop over and u cannot fault this place.
From the check in. Efficient fantastic service with a smile and maps and booklets given to u.
The dinner at kaleidoscope was unbelievable with the larg selection of foods from different regions and the quality is beautiful. The view from every room is wonderful with the dessert and beach pools and palm trees. The decor is so out of this world beautiful in every way.
Breakfast was the best thing that money could by with around 20 stations of breakfast from around the world to Indian. Asian. Italian. Yogurts from every type of juice u can think of.
The service is fantastic.
I would def recommend anyone visiting Dubai to come here. There is so much to do and see

I think our problem with Atlantis was that, at the time we visited, we lived in Qatar. Anyone who has lived in Doha, Qatar knows that you are lucky enough to pop in and out of 5 star hotels like it's normal life. And so your expectation of 5 star service is very high. Atlantis, unfortunately, didn't meet our expectation - generally the staff we most unhelpful. The nicest member of staff was the guy who cleaned our room - he was a complete whizz at creating animals out of towels, much to the delight of our daughter.

Aquaventure - our daughter was four when we visited and I think that Wild Wadi is better for younger kids.

Aquarium - yes, it is stunning. But you pay a lot of money at Atlantis so you kind of expect stunning.

Dolphin Bay - this was superb and I highly recommend it. I was concerned that it would be a bit zoo like but the team at Dolphin Bay were excellent. I liked the way that they gave you a short educational briefing about dolphins and the interaction was really good - we all loved it and my daughter still talks about Blackie the dolphin. You can visit Dolphin Bay without staying at Atlantis - I think we will probably do that next time.

Food - lots of choice and generally good.

Overall I think we felt that Atlantis was over-priced. There are many hotel options in Dubai and I have to say that we won't be going back to Atlantis.
