You can hardly describe Baalbek in few words, but one must say its a stunning place to ever exist on this planet. The 6,000 years old temple lies peacefully on a beautiful rocky land surrounded by nothing but clear skies and white-topped mountains from the far north.
The site is well preserved even tho it's old enough that visitors would expect large areas of destroyed stones but surprisingly the temple itself and its surroundings are almost kept untouched with very few irrelevant stone pieces lying on the ground and perhaps that's what makes Baalbek the the oldest and the only well preserved roman temple in the world.
In conclusion and straight to the point, If you happened to be in beautiful Lebanon then Baalbek must be a priority. Don't leave without roaming around epic Baalbek.
