Very good location, close to alhamra cornich. Affordable rates most of the year if you book in advance. Rooms are recently renovated.

Hotel is really nice and clean, modern looking with everything expected of a good hotel.

The staff were helpful staff andpolite.

Definitely recommend the steaks at the Crowne grill restaurant, one of the better steaks I have eaten and great service too.

Lovely rooms, I had the diplomat suite, so cant comment on the others.

My husband and I stayed here on vacation before we moved to Jeddah. We stayed for one night and then moved to a cheaper option across the road because we felt it was not worth the money if you could not use the facilities.

If you are a MAN on business I am sure this hotel would be superb but as a woman it is not worth it.

You pay for a 5 star hotel in order to use it's facilities such as a pool but if you are a woman forget about it. Some hotels allow women to swim and have special swimming facilities for them but the Crown Plaza is not one of them.

People haven't mentioned this but the hotel is in downtrodden area in Jeddah. Admittedly it is near the fountain, corniche, US consulate and some fantastic American resturants (Chilli's, On the Border, Burger King, Starbucks, Manhatten Fish Market, Fuddruckers, Ruby Tuesdays, TGI Fridays to name a few) but the surrounding area is dirty, filled with garbage, street cats and foul smells (anyone who has lived in Jeddah will know what I mean) basically it is in a slummy area. There are better hotels in much better areas. Also people should note that if it rains the hotel street and the surrounding streets completely flood.

There is a fantatic shisha place called Aroma next door which I would highly recommend visiting!

Stayed at this hotel several times over the last two years, it's my favourite accommodation in Jeddah. Fairly new hotel, modern and stylish, good value for money, free Wifi, central location, good service and breakfast.

I am a business traveler and the Crowne Plaza at the Corniche has been my top choice in Jeddah for the last half a dozen trips. It gets even better now with the lobby upgrade this year.

Free speedy internet access; spacious and modern rooms, large work desk; incredible upgrades if you are a Priority club member; nice lounge; nice swimming pool.

Other than the above, the restaurant serves excellent buffet during seafood night (Mon and Weds). The gift shop sells very nice ornamental rings (I bought 3 so far).

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are prepared to pay a little more for quality, peace and comfort.

Room Tip: through the IHG website for booking

I was regular guest of this hotel since last 12 years. During my last visit due to delay in flight I reached hotel at 2AM in the morning. They cancelled my booking and informed that no rooms are available. The staff available at 2AM was not at all helpful and asked me to find another hotel. You can imagine at 2 AM where could I go. No taxi was available and they very not keen to help also. This they have done after going to the hotel 3-4 times a year and for 12 years. LOYALTY doesn't have value with this hotel. I send a complain later but till dat I haven't heard anything from their side.

I took a stay in this hotel for 2 nights last month and i found it very good. Alhough i thought this Hotel is on the higher side when it comes to price but the quality is splendid. The food is perhaps the best you will experience in the region, the dinner at Zahra Restaurant is priced at around USD 45. Rooms are clean, customer service is top class and welcome experience is surprising !

The Kunafa (Arabic Sweet) that is served in this Hotel almost in every buffet meal is the best i have tasted in the Middle East.

The important thing about this Hotel which suits me is that its very quite especially its floors, its reception and the restaurants and such an ambience gives me a lot of comfort. Perhaps the reason to it could be that its location is bit away from shopping areas and secondly many would consider this as an overpriced hotel. But if you want to relax and stay away from shopping zones then this is a very good option.

Room Tip: Ask for a corniche view room
