“The most charming and elegant place to stay in Syria.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2009

This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our trip to Syria. The staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly and could not have made us feel more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we felt that they genuinely wanted to make our stay as perfect as they could. The rooms are light and extremely comfortable and the little courtyard is quite charming. The whole place is clean and bright with an elegant and sophisticated decor which makes it feel more modern (in the best sense) than some of the older boutique hotels where we stayed. The position is perfecct and it's astonishing how peaceful it is when it's only a minute away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. All five of us aged from 16 to 53 reccommend it very highly.

Trust everything good you read about this hotel du charme.
I had previously e-mailed the hotel several times before our arrival to Syria to set our reservation. The reservation manager, Miss Hanadi Hariri always kindly and quickly answered to my e-mails and furthermore showed up at the reception to welcome us as soon as we got to the hotel, she even called us in the room to ask if we needed anything because she was going home. The girl at the reception spoke perfect English as Hanas the man that had the night shift. They both have been so nice, much above how their job asked them to be. The room was mirror cleaned, with perfect ac and a big plate of fruit as welcome treat. There is no fixed time for breakfast, they ask you at what time would you wish to have it and they prepare it for you and it's glorious (big variety of food kindly brought on your table). The location is great. Hidden in the narrow street of the Christian area which is beautiful (Jdaydeh area) and is at walking distance from the citadel and other interesting areas of Alep. The room facilities are: Air conditioning, LCD Television, Satellite Decoder, Direct Dial Phone, Mini Bar, Wireless Internet Access. The hotel facilities are: Car Parking, SPA Center (Turkish Bath, Jacuzzi and steam room), Baby Sitting, Internet Business Center and Fax service, Meeting Room, Medical Service, Laundry Service, Library, Hair dresser, Safety Deposit Box.
We stayed there for two nights, paying 85 Euros taxes included.
It is surely amazing value for price!

The charm, the beauty, the service, the elegance and the hospitality at this lovely, hidden and yet divine hotel de charme are unsurpassable when you visit Aleppo. You pay for what you get and what you get is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. Yasmeen D'Alep made our stay in Aleppo perfect.

Make sure you check out the elaborate calligraphy in the rooms, take a book to read at sunset in the courtyard as you listen to the water fountain, listen to the quiet surroundings and yet step out into the market within 2 minutes.

Adorable, chic and worth every second.

A friend discovered this hotel and we were expecting big things at the end of our trip in Syria - it did not disappoint.
We were incredibly well looked after and the staff of the hotel were incredibly flexible - from upgrading our room because the air conditioning was working perfectly to providing an enormous spread for breakfast at 5am - everything was at our convenience. We were made to feel totally at home during our stay and would certainly recommend here to anyone wishing for a relaxing stay while in Aleppo.
Hidden away at the end of an alley only 15mins walk from the souq and citadel the location is ideal with a number of great places to eat in the evening nearby.

If you would like to actually live the 1000 & 1 arabian nights, you should check in Yasmeen. An original Arab house build in 19th century and fully transformed to an excellent hotel this year. Cosy, modern, classic, boutique hotel of 8 rooms combines them all, in the heart of old Aleppo city. Excellent staff, best service, tasteful breakfast and dinner, make your business or leisure an unforgetable memory. Free Wi Fi in all rooms and lobby, business room at our disposal, hammam and massage are some of the hidden advantages you have to enjoy staying there. If you need more, just ask and dervis dancers may dance privately for you or a special buffet may be arranged for you and your friends. Staying there for more than a week, for business, was an unforgetable experience.

What a blessing to discover this place down an alleyway, after a hair raising taxi ride up from Deir. A true oasis.
Can't understand why the yasmeen is listed as a B&B?? it must rank as one of the best boutique/speciality hotels in Aleppo. Location was excellent - a short stroll from Al Faraj & the Sheraton( for the atm); the Baron (for a beer); Al Aziziziah for the trendy coffeeshops and the Old City for the souk.
We had the Al Agha suite; very swish (but for the price, to be expected). The downside (as others have pointed out) was the mezzanine bedroom area. The stone stairway was a little bit of an issue, I can see a serious accident at some point. The service was superb - Badi, Rashid and the rest of the staff couldn't do enough for us. The yasmeen was our halfway stop and was meant to be our 'splurge' - it was all of that and more.
