“Very Good Restaurant if you are not allergic to mangos!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

The Mango Garden Restaurant is outside in the Mango Garden which is full of Mango Trees. We ate there one time and the mango fruit was dropping. If you are allergic to mangos, do not go to this restaurant. The restaurant is well priced with tasty food. It has two levels of dining and all under umbrellas. There are a couple of fans. We enjoyed the food and took out some dinners as we couldn't eat there. It is well worth going if you are not allergic to mangos. They also offer massages next door. The restaurant is located just off the Main Street and is very convenient to shops and night bazaar.

“Expensive considering the quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

Boring and lousy sandwhich made from what seemed like expired ingridients. The staff wasn't much help. The red chicken curry contained more chicken bones than meat. It's cheap but it's easy to find a lot better food at the same price in luang prabang. Only plus was the peaceful garden setting.

“Location more than the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Great spot for the setting - in a beautiful garden with Romeo and Juliette balconies all round ... however some of the food is aimed at dumb tourists which us fair enough as it is over any local person's budget! So choose carefully and make sure you get authentic Lao food if that is what you want. Has mostly westernised taste Lao/Asian food though. Well located just off the night market, tourist restaurant (don't forget) and slightly pricey. Worth it IMO for the garden and surrroundings if you need that and a break from street food.

“looked good, but was disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

I ordered the hot pot grill and the soup base was simply salty and not much flavor. I also ordered a cucumber salad pictured in the menu, when it arrived it was something completely different. The waiter said this was the only one they knew how to make, so I told him I did not want it. Later on they came back with the cucumber salad that looked like the one pictured in the menu. I thank them for re making the salad... the food was simple, and i would not go back there.

“Nice atmosphere food could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Certainly not the worst place by far, the staff were good but the food was a bit average, I got the noodle soup, not hard to do wrong and easy to make great but a bit disappointing.
