“Makli Hill, Keenjhar Lake, Shah Jahania Mosque”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

Makli Hill is a World Heritage site. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon, ending at the tomb of Abdhullah Shah Ashabi. Boat ride on Keenjhar Lake to the memorial of Noori Jaam Tamachi - one of Shah Latif's heroine's known for her humility. Visited Shah Jahania Mosque with one hundred domed tombs. Built by Shah Jahan who also built the Taj Mahal in Aagra, India for his beloved wife. So much history and the people of Thatta were gracious and welcoming.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2012

if you are fond of historical places and have the taste for old architecture then you should visit it. however you may not find it very well managed.
you need to come in prepared with everything you need for a day long travel. donot expect the facillities here that you may take for grnated.

“Do visit the Shah Jahan Mosque and Makli Hill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

The Shah Jahan Mosque (or Shahjahani Mosque), built in the mid-17th century, is a World Heritage Site. It is an elegant structure with red bricks,blue-glazed tiles and graceful archways which provide some great photo opportunities.

Just outside Thatta is Makli Hill, also a World Heritage Site. With the graves of around 125,000 local rulers, it is one of the largest necropolises in the world. The graves have intricate floral designs and Quranic inscriptions carved in the sandstone.
