It seemed like we were the only ones in the hotel. The hotel is massive. It was before Christmas and the hotel had awful Christmas music that they started playing around 6:a.m. We could hear the music in our room. It woke us up.
Because we were the only ones in this massive hotel, all the staff hovered over us the entire time.
WE could not leave our room without someone asking to help us.
It is out of town and you need to take transportation into the city.
It is clean but strangely decorated.
The food was so so in the hotel. We arrived late in the evening and had a very mediocre meal.
Breakfast buffet was fine.
Yes the bathrooms are designed so that the shower splashes every where. There is no curtain or
shower stall.
The staff is very attentive(too much).

Room Tip: Ask for a view.

This hotel in Mandalay maintains a good standard of cleanness and service, staff are always smily and helpful. We received an upgrade to a suite. That said the decoration of the rooms is perplexing to say the least (for a westerner). The breakfast is decent but would benefit of better coffe, the noodles, soups, eggs and rest of the bouffet were good. The rooms have safe, a good shower, 2 TV, and plenty of space. Is not a superclass but definitely a clean, safe, comfortable place. Not for long stays unless you don't mind being a bit far from downtown and the excesses of chinese deco.

The hotel has lovely and friendly staff and the rooms are nice and new. the location is not perfect but the quality of the hotel make up for the distance to the center of the city. Bathroom not well designed so the floor is wet for hrs after using the shower.
Lovely pool area.

Very nice hotel a little bit far out of mandalay. But as we arrived very late in the evening, we just wanted to take our rest before heading off to another day of sightseeing. Beds were comfortable and rooms very tastefully furnished. The bathroom is definitely not my style, the pink colours do not really fit to the style of the room, and the shower without cabin is not really useful. The big fruit basket upon arrival was a very nice welcome. One plus was the friendly staff, when we arrived around 9pm we requested to use the pool. We were told the pool is already closed but they will open for us. On staff member cleaned just the pool, that we could have a swim before going to bed. Very customer orientated.

Room Tip: I had corner deluxe, which was very spacious.

Very hospitable team of staff added alongwith good food although with a restricted menu. The hotel exhibits wonderful wooden sculptures & furniture in the lobby area. Set in a distant but quiet surrounding which is not too far from the bustling CBD.

we were told that all hotel are not at the right level, so we staid there, as it is new. people are very nice, despite for most of them their english is like my chinese (000), we booked a deluxe room, this was horrible, the design, the style and the noise, we could not sleep as you could hear the noise of the lift, every body passing, and this stupid person who ring the bell at 5.30 for breakfast delivery that we never requested. their buffet is over pieced (35$) and it is really poor quality, their a la carte is bit better. so we went out every night and have good meal outside. the hotel is very nice from outside, a shame the inside is not following. and for every thing don't be in rush, as the are not..

Room Tip: avoid the room close to the fit, as no separation door, you will be in a corridor all night

I spent one night here in January as part of a tour group so didn't have direct contact with the desk staff. As a group we were certainly well catered to and found the staff very helpful around the hotel. The furniture in the lobby was huge with oversized, elaborately carved, teak chairs that a small person would have to crawl in to.
Our group was housed in the villa style rooms away from the main hotel building. Somebody with a strange concept of luxury accomodation was let loose on the design here - it was over the top. The rooms were very large with a large desk in the middle of the room and additional built in cupboards along one wall. The walls and ceiling were dark teak with strange lighting and a lighting console in the bedside tables to control the lighting which was nice. The bathroom was huge. The shower and tub were behind a glass partition with the shower raised on a slatted floor so you weren't standing in water while you showered. Lots of hot water. The sink vanity was high for even me (6') and then the vessel sink sat on top of that so even I found the sink too high.
The property is fairly new so everthing looks new, clean and fresh. The room was quiet, clean and the bed comfortable. A flat screen TV, with news services, was on the wall opposite the bed. The WiFi signal in the room was weak so I had to sit in the main hotel lobby to use my tablet. The breakfast buffet was okay with a decent variety of choices.
This hotel is out of town and requires transportation to get back and forth. One feature I was pleased to see was the moisture absorbing parking in front of the villa units. There is a very "nouveau riche" versus "old money" feeling to this hotel. Bottom line, it was a very nice, comfortable place to stay.
