We spent four nights at this hotel and however we usually backpack, we were really excited to stay at a 4* hotel. First impression was good. Next day we realized that the hotel used to be a 4* approx. 20 years ago. Old, run-down and broken furniture with no air-conditioning (like it was promised).
The food was excellent, the staff is friendly and the chef was extremely helpful, cooking us vegetarian food so overall it was okay especially after hearing from other travelers that most of the 4* hotels deserve less star!

We stayed at this hotel during our stay in Sousse in the month of July. Our first impression was terrible since our bus didn´t even take us to the front door. The driver parked the bus on a different back street and we had to haul our luggage threw the roads in the dirty, smelly streets at after midnight. The reception was very dark with only one dim light and they made us fill out such length questionaire at that hour of the night and us with a child half asleep.
The room smelled of urine and was very dusty and small. Unfortunately our room was facing the street and the balcony door didn´t close all the way so we had loud noice all night and I do mean ALL night. This city never sleeps!! For the first 2 nights there was sewer cleaning at 2:00 in the morning and the noice was unbearable. Felt like it was right in our room. The bathroom was spacy but alot of rust everywhere and old fixtures. The remote control of the TV was broken and the phone by the bed had 2 cm of dust on it. There is no minibar.
The food was basicly the same during our 1 week stay. Very little variation. The nightly shows were of poor quality. The best part of our stay was watching the fireworks the day after the nacional holiday. It lasted very long and was excellent. The pool was ok and the beach is good too but a bit dirty. This was our 3rd time in Tunisia. Our first stay was in Hammamet, our 2nd stay was in Monastir. Sousse was the worst. We much prefer Hammamet which is smaller and quiter, more relaxing and much cleaner.
We will definitely not be returning to Sousse.

We have just returned from there, we had booked for 3 nights but I left after the first night! The room was very unpleasant and full of dust, stinking urine. There was a fit carpet on the floor. The room was very small. The corridor was also smelly. The staff was very rude and unhelpful. the hotel swimming pool was also dirty. The hotel is in the middle of the town, therefore this is not a good location at all for summer vacations. Don' t go! The hotel is everything but a 4-star hotel!

Though the hotel is a bit old the whole atmosphere was OK. The food was great with a wide range of choice. I liked the mavritanian bar with chicha as well. Pool is large. Animation team works hard and the whole personnel is quite polite. Don't forget about tips, by the way. It encourages them to do their best.
Sousse as itself is a noisy town with a strange smell, but we didn't forget that it is not Europe, and all such small moments couldn't spoil our vacation.
