stayed here for 10 nights from 28th oct. transfer from airport by thomsons was good and quick.
because of our late booked flight did not check into the hotel till about 01.30am.
our room was very small so in the morning we was met by our thomson rep dan sellick. what a diamond guy he was, when we told him about our small room he sorted it out and we was in a better and larger room the same day. very good. at the thomson welcome he was very informative and would go out of his way to explain and help in anyway. he always told us when he was on site at our hotel if we needed anything, top marks.
the hotel was a 3 star and was 1 of three on the complex.the mahaba beach hotel was closed at this time of year. the pool area's was kept very clean but the water was cold at this time of year, both outdoor pools are salt water, but was very refreshing after sitting in the sun. the food was good and you had a varied choice, being all-inclusive the local drink was quite good. the animation team was fantastic and worked very hard to include everyone in there entertainment. some nights they brought in other entertainment which made a change.if you wanted a quiet drink you could use the royal salem as the marhaba saleem was mainly for familys.
you also had a good beach and snack bar area with shaded area's. food was good there too. lunch time meals only though. you do get a few flypitch sellers on the beach but was not aloud onto the hotels area unless you invite them.
we went out to the port el kantoui. nice place and plenty of eating places.
go on the zulu night , brill. the visit to the roman arena and museum is a must.
overall we had a great holliday good food , friendly people and staff and the weather was hot as well.
would we go there again , yes but would try another hotel in the area.just to try some where different. dont like going back to the same hotel for another holliday , just our preferance.
