“It's like a space ship landed and brought universal knowledge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

By far one of the most amazing libraries I've ever seen. There's a vibe in here that you can't describe. The design is amazing. Modern, but timeless. The museums are also something to witness. A must do if you visit Alexandria.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Here you can spend the day researching something for your studies, Enjoy the few museums within the library , have a drink in any of the cafes in the plaza & enjoy the scenic view .. it's a way to spend the day differently & informatively ..

“Never seen a mammoth library like this before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

Am very happy to have seen this piece of architectural wonder. If you are a books person definitely visit this place for the feel good factor. Although for someone who is a tourist its more of a disappointment as you cannot explore the huge place. But its wonderful to see the level f organisation that goes into managing this place.
You have to purchase tickets to enter this place and kids cannot enter below the age of 6. Above 6 there is a separate ticket for kids who can b left in a children's library within the complex, which i don't recommend unless your kid knows what to look for on his own. There is nobody to help inside if you are a tourist and parents are not allowed to stay inside.
