Good location, only a few meters from beach, nice beach. Very good restaurant with nice service.
The rooms were small and not so good looking, no pool, no internet, no AC.
we choose it as we wanted a few days of relax during off season in September and did not want to spend a lot for it.
I reccomend only for short stays and only if you have no other choice.

We spent a weekend there. It was not the best choice, but it was the only one available. The reception staff was pretty rude and only said they had rooms available after we offered to pay more. The last day, the maid entered our room without knocking, though it was long before check out time. The tv set in our room was not working, they promised to replace it, but never did. The rooms at the lower floors have a great risk as anyone could break into your room through the balcony window. The only good part about Sulina Hotel is the location. The beach is right outside, but most of the hotels in Mamaia, Constanta, are like that. So if you have other choice, don't go to Sulina.

We have just returned from our stay at the Sulina Hotel in Neptun for a prolonged weekend. I must say, being a Romanian myself (and used to the less than acceptable, yet expensive, standards of the Romanian hoteliers), I was more than skeptical about what we were going to find there, and all I really wanted was for it to be clean - we weren't planning to spend much time in the hotel room, anyways.
Having said that, I must say we were impressed...the hotel rooms are reasonably big (except for the bathrooms which, indeed, are somewhat on the small side), clean and except for the ground floor rooms, all have a balcony. The double is in fact a twin, but that was easily rectified by just pushing the beds together. The rooms have individual air conditioning and TV and the hotel has a reasonably sized swimming pool (the pool looked clean and well-maintained as well, although I must admit we did not use it as I cannot see the logic in going to the sea-side to swim in the pool).
The breakfast is bufet type and again, there is a reasonable variety of stuff to eat, such as eggs, bacon, sausages, vegetables, cheese, salami, musli, milk, fruit, yoghurt etc.
All in all we were very pleased, and despite being somewhat weary of leaving valuables in the room while on the beach, there was no problem on that side, either.
The hotel is fairly close to the beach, which is not more than 300 m away, a distance which has to be walked, as there is no other means of transport there. The sea was fantastic, albeit with some algae at the entrance but further on clean and welcoming.
All in all, a pretty good stay at the Sulina hotel in Neptun, we shall most probably return there!

  • Liked — The cleanliness of the rooms, the individual air-conditioning
  • Disliked — The small bathroom - but really, not that much of an inconvenience!

Simply a great value three star hotel. It's well located near the centre of Neptun without being too central and is as close to the beach as any of Neptun's hotels - there are two artificial lakes between the beach and the town. The rooms are clean - serviced daily - and reasonably modern and the bathrooms, whilst small, were again modern and clean. The hotel has clearly been redeveloped in recent years and has a fantastic large swimming pool with a restaurant, masseus and bar - as well as a small kids pool.

Breakfast was good - a bit of everything - although tended to run out of coffee regularly.

All in all a very good value for money compromise. It's not quite as high quality as the Cocor up the road, but at 60% of the price and much more central, it's a better choice. We paid €65 a night at the height of peak season.
