A very nice hotel right on the square of the Brasov Old Town.

Near most of the local sights, restaurants, etc.

I stayed in Casa Wagner only for one night but loved every minute of my stay. I have rarely been to a hotel with so much character and cannot even find one point to fault- everything was perfect. I would strongly recommend everyone wishing to see Brasov not to look further as it can’t get better. I hope to return there again in the near future.

Location: Just perfect, directly on Piata Sfatului, with a magnificient view over the square and Biserica Neagra. Restaurants and shops as well as all major sights are literally around the corner.

Rooms: Very comfortable and clean, with beautiful furniture. My room was located on 1st floor and was huge. In fact, I cannot remember having ever seen such a big room in a hotel. As already mentioned, a big bonus was the view over the square. It was lovely to sit by the window and enjoy the marvellous architecture.

Staff: Very friendly and helpful with perfect knowledge of several languages. They made me feel welcome and tried hard to assure their guests a memorable stay.

Breakfast was standard, with meats, cheeses and breads but also hot dishes to chose from. Taking into consideration that this is quite a small hotel, there was really enough choice.

Brasov itself exceeded my expectations. Before arriving, I thought one full day should be sufficient to see everything but I was wrong. In my opinion, Brasov is Romania’s most beautiful city. The whole old town with its numerous pedestrianized streets, hidden churches and medieval architecture combined with a stunning location at Tampa mountain had a very special atmosphere. The citizens of Brasov were very friendly, I felt safe wherever I walked and food was tasty. To sum it up, Casa Wagner was a gem of a hotel in a gem of a city.

Right in the historic square with unbeatable views from many of the rooms. Large accommodations with lots of character. The staff responded to pre-booking questions by email very quickly. However, if you ask the staff to book any trips, verify information. We asked for an English-speaking driver to take us to the castles and the individual who should up was extremely limited in his English. Another day we had a different staff member book a bear and wolf-tracking tour and it turned out to be a wildlife expedition.

Spent two nights there. Excellent value. The only downside is that there is not parking right there (ask them where to park when you book!).

I recommende it to anyone looking for charming confort who is not interested flashy modern hotels.
