“Very decent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2014

I loved the location and the rooms were nice, large and pleasent. Staff is very polite, parking is in the middle and great access to the city centre. Basically if you walk behind the hotel you are in the middle of a medieval city full of romance and all the way to the hystorical city you find something to see.
If you want to drive go from the front and you are in the city
The hotel staff had a lott of advice about the city and were genuinley nice.
The hotel room was not bad at all. Comfy beds, large and with balcony large enough to have dinner on
The only issue i had really was that the water installation is quite noisy and you can hear the water flow going off once someone was using the faucet or toilet quite loudly.
There is no hairdryer in the room but they provide one from the reception.

We stayed there for one night, big rooms, very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Very close to the Old City, just a walk away from all the important places you need to visit in Sibiu (Big Square,Small Square,Liar s Bridge,Clock Tower,Cathedral, etc).
The hotel has a big parking place.Staff is very helpful and friendly.Wi-Fi quality is very good.
You can find near by small stores with refreshments or snacks.

We spent one night in this hotel and we were pleased with the experience. We arrived around midnight, but this was no issue, as the receptionist was nice and welcoming and the check in process was fast and effective (and so was the check out the next day, staff really polite and helpful).

We were given a room on the third floor, overlooking the back of the hotel (so there was not much noise from the street). It is true that the hotel has no elevator, which may be an issue if you have large bags, but for us this wasn't a problem. The room was spacious, had a tv and a minibar (stocked with very reasonably priced products, compared to other hotels). Both the room and the bathroom were very clean, including bed sheets and towels.

I personally liked that there were two plants in the room, which you don't get to see in many hotels. On the minus side, I did not like the bed mattress which seemed lumpy.

The hotel is well located, 10 minutes of walking to the city centre. All in all, it is a good place to stay to explore the city.

The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre but has realistic prices. Excellent food, drink and rooms. Very quiet although just of a roadway

Just need a lift to the rooms! Parking outside for those who travel by car.

This was a last minute booking, after a long drive from Budapest, and the fact they had parking and were minutes from the highway was a plus. It reminded me of your average motel....except all Romanian cars in the lot. The room was basic, but clean. Had a nice little balcony overlooking the parking lot, where I had a glass of wine and enjoyed watching all the local traveling families with their kids. There was a wedding party, so got to "participate" in that vicariously. : ) The staff was helpful, sign language worked if no english.. Brought me a small ice bucket and all was good. Breakfast is a bit shaky.... but all in all a good local experience. Walking distance (about 15 minutes to the Square and the Commercial area, with good restaurants)

Hotel is located in quiet area, but still is near to the city center, some 15 minutes walking distance. Rooms are nice and clean. Stuff is friendly and willing to help. It is not expensive and has its own parking

This was the 5th or 6th stay in Apollo in the last 3 years and I am thinking that it might be one of the last...
It seems like the hotel is having trouble keeping up with the standards most people ( us included ) enjoyed...
In our last visit few days ago, we experienced 2 flooded bathrooms ( out of 5 rooms of our group ) and much poorer breakfast than our previous visits.
There was also a small problem in communication between the person inspected the room and reception, causing a rather big delay in changing one of the rooms.

In general it is not a bad hotel ( that is why we have already stayed many times ) but now you need to overlook a few more things than those already mentioned in other reviews ( noise , lack of elevator etc )

I need to emphasize though in the quality of the hotel's restaurant that was as good as we knew it and the very good service provided by the staff.

Room Tip: There is no elevator, so if you have luggage, try to arrange for a room in 1st floor. Also, rooms...
