It IS a very good museum. On a visit this August, as advertised, a selection of the most important works had gone on loan to another European country. This DID, inevitably weaken the impact of the collection- especially as these paintings had been replaced with very poor quality photocopies, but were still roped off!
Nevertheless, there was enough remaining to give a broad view of the taste and vision of this collector.
There is a small shop- shared by the ticket office- which sells a small selection of souvenirs and publications. The space for this seemed always full of people.
