The hotel location is right in the heart of Varna. It's the tallest building and the view from the restaurant is excellent.

Our room was very large - one of the biggest I've stayed in but there was little in it. Some basic furniture and rock hard mattresses and pillows. TV was OK, quite a lot of channels but the bathroom was something out of the 1950s in style. Had a bath/shower but looked like it had certainly seen better days.

The included breakfast isn't really worth bothering with. Some uninspiring food and weak drinks.

The hotel has a casino but didn't note any other facilities.

I'm not sure whether this hotel is of good quality compared to others in the city but I feel there must be better though it was very cheap but didn't feel like 3 stars.

Also be warned about getting a taxi at the airport. We got ripped off. They show the price per kilometer on the taxi window and each one varies. The one we got in cost 3.50 Leva per km which cost us 68 Leva. The return taxi cost 0.29 per km so only cost about 8 Lev. Be careful!

Hotel has a great location and view but it is not everything.
I have been there last week for 7 days and I am very disappointed.
Hotel has 14 levels but only on the level 4 and 6 you can find new refurbished rooms. All the rest rooms are like from the last century with big smell of cigarettes. Second day the housekeeper took my Biotherm cleansing gel and when I informed the reception they were laughing how can I claim for it !? Can you believe ? I wanted to speak with the director but he was very busy !!! When I asked for his phone number they told me it is impossible.
Also the breakfast restaurant on the top is very dirty. Dirty plates, glasses. The same food for all week. Better is pay a little more but receive better service. This one I do not recommend.

This hotel is the ideal place to stay in when visiting Varna at anytime of the year. It is just at the centre of everything and no problems at all. Two of the girls at reception could improve on their manners especially when they switch speaking to bulgarian infront of you and you know it and feel it that they are 'complaining' about you. On the whole the rooms are very tidy. We stayed on the 5th floor which was lovely with views all around you. The restaurant is lovely and not expensive at all. Breakfast very good too. I would highly recommend it. Oooops forgot one thing, I think its about time they changed the mattresses, they are very hard but you get used to it :)

I stayed at this hotel in August 2006 during the high season. Reception was fast and efficient and very nice. I was in a renovated double room. It was very nice and clean but nothing too special except the view. The view was awesome!!! I forgot what floor I was on but it was high and it was great. I had a view of the sea and the rest of the city. The beds were ok. The bathroom was clean. The a/c worked perfectly. There is a small tv on the desk. I didn't have room service so I can't comment on that. Only two complaints I have:
1. The lobby is so drab and uninviting. Something needs to be done with it. I can imagine someone thinking that they are walking into a dugeon.
2. The breakfeast is not the greatest. However that is what I found out with my stay in Bulgaria. But the breakfeast is served on the top floor of the hotel where the resturant is located and the views are absolutely gorgeous!!!!

Book a renovated room and ask for a high floor.
