“best part of staying in this hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

The food and service was excellent and the winelist was terrific. The garden is the place to eat here, as the restaurant itself is dark and a bit cramped.

Thank you for this review. We really try very hard to keep the restaurant to high standards. The wine list was prized by Wine Spectator magazine and we are very proud of it. What a pity that you gave is the highest marks in all the categories but the total score fell short of one point :)

“The best place to stay and dine in Plovdiv!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014

The stuff is so polite! The lady from the reception showed us few rooms we could pick from (all the rooms have different design). The breakfast was great! In fact the restaurant is famous for its high quality food and wine list! Check it out!

“Very good French restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

If you are looking for a more sophisticated restaurant in Plovdiv, this would be a good place to start. Food is fresh and well made, service is nice (a bit slow, but it is part of the French experience), and the prices are very good.

“Good restaurant in Plovdiv.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

We went to Hebros after the free Plovdiv tour. As soon as we sat down the waiter brought us water and some appetizers to try out (very good), I then had a second course meal, eggplant filled with other vegetables and onions which was good. To top it all off the waiter brought us some fresh grapefruit sorbetto! The location is beautiful, the restaurant is very nice and is actually not expensive for the good quality of food and service you get. We ended up eating outside even though it was mid September and it was amazing!

“Excellent in Plovdiv”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We had a couple of meals at Hebros Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. The setting and environment were perfect: we sat in a lovely, quiet garden and were served by a polite, knowledgeable but friendly young lady. The menu includes mainly traditional Bulgarian dishes cooked to perfection: we especially loved the Tarator and Kyopolu, and is coupled with some of the best that Bulgarian wine making has to offer. Everything was prepared to perfection and we loved the service too. In the end we were treated to some ice cream which was also great. Pricewise, this is more than affordable for the Western traveller, although, my understanding is that this restaurant is expensive according to local standards. Ingredients used are locally sourced and organic, a reason enough in itself to visit. I would strongly recommend!
