“Spent beautiful time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I have chosen the hotel Reikarts Medievale according to good reviews on the internet. I spent with my boy in Lviv one week of vonderful summer holidays and there were no any negative moments with the hotel. The only thing which most people do not like there is a little place for having breakfast but we had our morning tea outside as the weather was good all days. The hotel is situated in the very center of the old city so you don't need to use a taxi as everything is nearby. Next time i would definitely choose Medievale!

Excellently located and well presented small hotel in the centre of Lviv. Great service. Go for a superior room for lots of room. Good free wifi. Little public space at ground level; breakfasts soewhat basic but not untypical for the area. So many good bars & restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a superior room.

Just returned from a wonderful trip to the heart of the former Hapsburg Empire, Lviv (Lvov, Lwow, Lemberg). We stayed at the Reikartz Medievale, an upscale boutique property just two short blocks from the old Rynok (Market) Square, with its medieval buildings, incredibly old churches, museums, shops, restaurants and fantastic coffee. We happened to be there during the coffee festival and it was a delight. The Medievale is well appointed, with marble, Belgium style modern rooms, eco-oriented fixtures and linens, large windows that actually open so one can gaze on the ancient buildings. There is a friendly and helpful staff, a great buffet breakfast, and the ability to have it be your restaurant too in the evenings. We had a perfect experience at the brand new property in the center of old Lviv.

Room Tip: Our room faced out onto the street leading to the Rynok; with windows closed even on a Saturday nigh...

Great location just 2 blocks from the main square in Old Town. Very nice staff. Lovely breakfast buffet. Good free wifi. Nice rooms. However, sometimes the hotel & rooms smell of sewer (happened to me one night). The staff blame the city, saying the smell comes from outside, but a recurring hotel guest told me it came from the drains and she put plastic bags over the sink and bath tub. Still, the smell disappeared quickly and overall I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

Really great place to stay very close to the main sights (Market Square, Opera house etc.). There are quite a few authentic restaurants nearby.
Great service, very helpful staff.
Better book your room in advance.
It's not cheap (ca. 70 EUR/ night), but lovely and cozy.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Lviv, walking distance from the museums, opera house and action! The hotel reception was very hospitable and accommodating, we arrived very late. It is a smaller hotel and looks to be either new or recently remodeled as it smells brand new. The rooms are very spacious with clean, fresh linens, surprisingly comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. They have complimentary breakfasts, which has a good assortment of foods and beverages.

Room Tip: (I think it is room 205, maybe 203) which is the only room with a small balcony overlooking hte pede...

My family and I recently stayed at the Reikartz Medievale. It was our last night in Ukraine after a journey that took us through Ivano Frankivsk, Chernivski and Ternopil, and settling into the refined splendour of this hotel was very welcome. The rooms were fresh, clean and modern, the breakfast plentiful and the central location fantastic. We walked all over the Old Town area, which we enterred within a block of the hotel. There were places to shop, eat and explore everywhere. Architecture was captivating as were the green spaces. We were disapointed not to have more time in Lviv, and in the Reikartz Medievale.
