“What a treat! Awesome food! Wunderbares Essen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

By accident rather we had a late lunch - early dinner at the Kalelarga and were surprised by the quality of the food. Not to mention the meat - best veal ever was my partners statement - but I am a vegetable lover and I was a 100% satisfied! And Tomoslav is a very competent and adorable person! We will be back just for the food!!! KEEP THE QUALITY UP!

“We will come back to Croatia only to go to that restaurant again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

I was there with my girlfriend this summer and we ate a full dinner. When we had been shown to a table we got a starter recomended for us, which was great!

You could choose whether to sit inside the modern and very stylish restaurant or enjoy the evening in a cosy area outside!
I have to give the personal a lot of credit for the wonderful work they did!
When we asked one of them, who was taking care of us that evening, what he could recommend for dessert, he shined like a star and gave us the best dessert I have ever had!

A lot of love from Sweden!

“Stylish new restaurant, with potential, but not yet there”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

Against our rule, not to go to hotel restaurants and even less so to a restaurant in a hotel we are staying, we tried this new place, as we liked already the rooms.
In contrast to any other tourist place we've visited in Croatia, this restaurant very positively distinguishes itself. It truly aspires to serve above average quality and also look of food. Not the standard fare, but modernized classic Croatian dishes for a fair price (not cheap though, in particular the wine).
While there is truly potential, it is obvious that the service team is not fully up to the standards given by the decor and also the cook. In particular the chef d' who (unfortunately) became our waiter has obviously not been trained for the service job. This was very much in contrast to some of his staff, offering the 4 star service you would expect in such a location. The chef d' managed to forget our orders for the main and only realized, when he was about to clean our table. No apologies, but just a 2 minutes wait promised. Well, we spent about two and a half hour for two in principle simple courses, in less than a full restaurant. So we decided to skip dessert and coffee.
If the chef d' keeps a bit in the background, the rest of the trained staff will get this place thriving soon.

“Excellent quality restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Everything was perfect : the meat, the starters, the wine, the dessert and, of course, the advise of the waiter. The food and wine are local, and very delicate.
