“A really lovely surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We spent 2 nights at the Boutique Hostel Forum, which has a fabulous setting in the centre of the old town, with gorgeous views over the Roman ruins and the sea. It's a really unique place, with a mixture of shared and private rooms and modern decor - lots of bold and bright stripes, which won't be to everyone's taste, but we loved it. Comfortable beds and great use of space in otherwise small rooms. The only real problem was the lack of working A/C in very warm weather - leaving windows open in the heat with a bar below meant some very disturbed sleep! Breakfast was included in the room rate, something not usually provided by hostels, and was limited but very nice, particularly the apple pastries! Staff were pleasant, if a little brusque, although the lady on checking us out was particularly helpful - re-routing the taxi to pick us up from a more convenient location without any prompting from us. It's certainly a fabulous base for exploring the town and I'd definitely come back If I found myself in Zadar again.

it's good location, the heart of the old town. the hostel is very clean, althought the room is small and simple. but it has kitchen and the staff is very good.
i booked the double room included breadfast. it's a little expensive, but i think it's worth value.

i think it's very good hostel and worth to recommend!

We are 4 girls and we loved our little but functional room with its unique design. The whole hostel is very peculiar, very new and nice. We were surprised to find a little breakfast near our bed for free. Also the position is perfect, in the historical centre with a great view from our window. you will have to complain just if you are a little claustrophobic and do not like little spaces. Anyway I really recommend this hostel!

Dear Guest,

thank you very much for taking your time to review our hostel. We are more than happy to hear you enjoyed your stay here in Zadar. Also, we are very happy to know that little breakfast, despite of the fact that it's being mentioned in lots of reviews, still suprises our guests.
We hope someday we will see you again in Hostel Forum :)

I stayed in this "Hostel" for two nights with my girlfriend. The position is perfect and many rooms have also an incredible view (main square + sea). The rooms are completely new and extremely clean. For couples i suggest to book the privete rooms and not those with share beds. It is more an hotel than an hostel. Nice breakfast!

Room Tip: Book directly on their website or by phone

If you want to stay in the heart of Zadar old town this is a very good choice. We stayed in a "Forum lux 2.0" room and were amazed by the modern design and the beautyful view of the forum ruins. Breakfast was good too. The only tiny drawback is the neighbouring church bell tolling at 7 AM every morning but that's part of the experience when staying in the middle of old town.

Dear Guest,
thank you very much for your review. We are happy that you experienced sleeping in our hostel and above all, that you liked it. As for the bell tower, we love to say that it is unavoidable (interesting) part of the whole experience while staying at Hostel Forum and glad you understand it. We hope you will visit this hostel next time you come in Zadar. :)
Best regards from hostel team ;)

This hostel is located in center of old town and very close to shore.
One of the most important appeal point for tourists is almost perfect price.
Lastly, It's really impossible to find a clean hostel with this price.

It's one of perfect hostel I'm looking for!

Myself and 2 other friends were inter-railing for 2 weeks around Europe and this was by far the BEST hostel we stayed in.
This hostel is overlooking the main square of the old town of Zadar so you can't get a better location!! Made to feel very welcome by the staff from the moment we arrived! We had a late check-in and it was no problem! Staff at desk always had time to go through what to do and see and recommended some great places!
Rooms were super clean, interior was funky and the bathrooms have to be seen to be believed! Only downside was there was teh rooms are very tight on space but this is very minor. Everyone has an individual bedspace which is very clever. And there was AIR CON :)
Cant recommend this hostel enough!!!
