Best hostel that I've ever been to if you consider location, staff and cleanliness. The view is magnificient and breathtaking. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist, I must say he is the best recepcionist ever, Ante is very approachable, nice, friendly and full of knowledge about Zadar and about Croatia in entirety. Well I must say that I can't think of one thing I didn't like about this place:).. I'd highly recommend it..! And can't wait to come again :)

This is a hostel. For those of you (like me) who are from the USA, you need to understand that hostels in Zadar are nothing like those found in the USA and some other parts of the world. This place is of excellent quality and and cleanliness. I had a single room on the top floor. It's very clean and quiet here. I have my own bathroom and the room has AC and free WIFI internet and a hot breakfast. It's just like being in hotel minus the high prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they all speak good English. This is the place to stay while in Zadar.

I absolutely loved this place and wish every hostel was like this one! The rooms are very cleverly designed with self contained bunkbeds that have a shelf, mirror, light and plug sockets in them as well as blinds so that you can shut yourself in to your little cubby hole and get some privacy. There are handy lockable drawers, opened by your key card, underneath the beds to store your valuables in.

The whole place felt very clean and new. The kitchen was very clean and had good facilities but we didn't need to use it as we had free breakfast bags left in our room every morning (danish pastries and bread rolls with jam)!

There's a computer with free internet access, large, flatscreen TV's in the kitchen and common room area and a lovely little private terrace outside. There's also a few vending machines selling hot drinks, soft drinks and snacks.

The view from our room was incredible and looked right out over the forum. The only downside was that the Bellfry acted as a very loud alarm clock so if you aren't an early riser, I'd reccommend taking some earplugs! This definitely does not out weigh all the positives though and I would definitely stay again.

Amazing value for money and I can't imagine ever finding another hostel that I liked as much as this one!

Dear Guest,
You made our day. Thank you for the review, especially when it's so precise and well described. We are glad you liked a breakfast in your room, and hope our ladies didn't wake you up when bringing it. As for the belltower, unfortunately we hear it as well, but there is a chance for our guests to book a room on the back side of our hostel. Those rooms do not look on the Forum, but you do not hear the bell at all. Eitherway, we want to believe the view from the bed is worth hearing the bell. :)
Thank you very much for staying here and we really hope to see you again.

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed in! We booked a four bed dorm with a private bathroom. Each bed has its own set of blinds (which allows total privacy should you not know the people you are sharing with), mini light, mirror and shelf. Under each bunk is a lockable drawer accessed using your electronic room key which is very clever! The rooms are bright and clean and the bathrooms are well designed with the toilet and shower room separated; I can't comment on the shared facilities as I never saw them. The kitchen is very pleasant and there is a nice terrace outside for some al fresco drinks. The only negative of the hostel (and a minor one at that) is that most of the rooms face out onto the main square and are therefore right next to the bell tower which chimes on the hour. It is very loud but adds to the atmosphere- it bothered my travelling companions more than me! This is the only reason that I have rated 'sleep quality' down a bit. Zadar is a fab place for a short break away, the central location of the hostel is so convenient and the bus to the airport stops just outside the city gate a five minute walk away. Breakfast is provided in bags that are delivered to your dorm each morning and the rooms also have air conditioning and free wifi. Basically you couldn't ask for anything more; it is practically perfect! Thank you Boutique Hostel Forum! x

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper avoid the rooms overlooking the main square as the bell tower chimes very...

Dear Guest,
thank you very much for your great review of our place. You described our hostel so detailed and lovely that we could easily as that use your text in our brochures. Only thing we will try to do, is to ask a belltower to quite down a little bit in the morning. :)
It is very nice to hear that you are completely satisfied with your stay in hostel. Reviews like yours keep us going with good work!
Thank you for being our guest and making us feel GOOD. We hope we'll see you once again.

Very neat and clean hostel right at the forum in the heart of the old city. I loved it! My friend and I stayed here in the Forum Lux room recently and would recommend it

Pros
Central location
Contemporary
Clean
Free wi-fi
Healthy breakfast
Friendly, helpful staff

Cons
No lift, so if you can't climb stairs either book a room on lower floor or not stay here
Rooms are quite small (it wasn't a problem for us)
No frills - no gym, pool, etc. (which again, was not an issue for us)
You can hear people on the streets and the bell tower in your room; which may be a disturbance for some

The hostel has an arrangement with a cab company. If you need a cab to/from the airport you can arrange one through the hostel for a fixed rate.

Dear Guest,

thank you for your review. We hope once we will have the elevator, but until than, we always love to rely on our colleague with muscles that can help with luggage on check in or check out. :)
We also hope we will see you once again, this time with elevator in our hostel.

The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The room was compact but functional, and very comfortable. The beds had lockable storage underneath that was accessed with your room card key - great idea! The facilities included a 'cinema room' with amphitheater style seating, two tv's and a projector with access to a range of DVD's. The kitchen was small but tea and coffee were available 24/7.
10 / 15 minute walk from the bus station, 2 - 3 min walk to the sea, 1 min walk to nearest bars and restaurants and the old town.
Breakfast was brought to the room and left in a boutique bag so you can actually have breakfast in bed!!
Awesome and very recommended.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking your time to review your stay in our hostel. It is nice to hear you loved our „style“ of bringing a mini Breakfast ToGo into your room as well as other facilities. We're inviting you to come here again during the summer, so we can discover you our outside terrace and waffle's parties, pancake's parties… :) Thank you once again for being our guest.
