“A good value typical konoba (family run restaurant)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011 via mobile

Food here is good and cheap. We ate scampi and fries, and Croatian sausages with vegetables with a couple of beers and a glass of wine, all up 25 euro which we regard as great value. The food was good too, best chips we've had in Croatia and the local sausages a welcome addition to the menu for a non fish eater. We sat in the back garden which is nothing special but pleasant enough on a July night. The restaurant only had one other table filled when we arrived so service was OK but I suspect the three groups of six who arrived later would have had a longer wait.

“Delicious and great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2011

We were on a budget but like good food. This place was perfect. Locally produced food cooked well. Nice wine. Very good value for Zadar

“small place, small menu, very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2011

We sat in the garden. You have a choice of sitting in the restaurant, in the pedestrian street at a couple of tables, or in the small garden in the back (if you don't like cats, don't sit here). The place was very homey, it was almost like your Croatian friend's mother was doing the cooking at their place...Food was very good; I had the inkfish risotto with a chicken salad, wife had rumpsteak (the meat was not the best quality - you should probably stick to seafood stuff here). The prices were fair for Zadar; about 45-55 kuna per item. The bill came out to 310; ate well at a reasonable price at a reputable restaurant.

“Not for vegetarians, ok for fish eaters.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2011 via mobile

Pretty, traditional looking, little restaurant in one of the beautiful narrow streets of old Zara.
We had lunch there in low season, so many of the options on the menu were not available (!!!). As a vegetarian I ended up eating some cheese and french fries as there were no other options for me, but the grilled fish that my friend had was fresh and tasty.
Best chips on town, though.
Very tired and unattentive service. Average prices for Zadar.
