“Nice place to stay for weekend.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

We have been there 2 weeks ago with my girlfriend for extended weekend. Hotel has nice location. Beach is small and I can imagine it's really crowded during the season. Long walks around are nice and you can find there a lot of quiet places to just sit down and relax while watching at the sea.

Hotel stuff is not as bad as I've read in other reviews. Receptionist was also quite nice. But I probably have different point of view as I can communicate in Croatian. Food was really nice, especially the breakfast. There is basically anything you look for and everyone can pick something. Dinner was not behind the quality of breakfast as well.

Outside pool is nice. Very clean and also quiet (I guess again, because it was not main season yet). There was small animation team (consists of 2 people), but I assume that in July/August it will be bigger.

Fun? Parties? Not really. Whole place is really quite. There are no bars, discobars - nothing. If you are looking for such things you have to go to Pula. You can call for a cab, take a bus or simply sit in your own car and drive there. It's about 10 minutes ride with your own car. And in Pula you have a lot of places to go. You can see the Colosseum, you can walk through small alleys that are clearly legacy of times when Rome Empire was there.

All in all. I would not go there for vacation, because it is a boring place for young couple. But I would go back anytime for relaxing weekend. Just to get out of daily routine and go enjoy myself by the sea.

And yes, from what I've heard. The hotel is about to be reconstructed and renovated in near future.

Room Tip: Can't say. They all look same to me. As there is not really a sea view, I guess it does not matt...

I must admit to having some reservations (No pun intended) of my stay here having seen reviews from others but I have been pleasantly surprised. The hotel is situated about 2 miles out of the centre of Pula but has a bus service to the center every 20 minutes and is set in beautiful pine woods with a short walk of about 200 yards through these to a beach which forms part of a natural coastline. The position of the hotel is very secluded with no through traffic so it is set in very peaceful surroundings. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and the food served at every meal has been of a very high standard. The rooms are not over large and at present have no air conditioning. Would I recommend or visit this hotel again? Most certainly in both cases YES

We stayed at the Park for 2 nights : it is comfortable, clean, pleasant and modest (especially after the over-priced and pretentiously flashy nearby). Rooms clean, quiet and comfortable; lovely pool. Very good breakfast and pleasant, helpful multilingual staff. Lovely salt water pool and pool area. LUnch quality so-so. I would stick to the breakfasts and eat elsewhere; there are several restaurants in the area. City bus into town centre takes 15 minutes, runs frequently and on schedule. Hotel is situated in large parklike vacation complex area; this not, however, like a north-american beach, with wall-to-wall hotels. They are spaced out in a large area; lots of room to walk, bike (bike rental available), play tennis, volleyball, basketball; several access points to beach. A surprisingly pleasant oasis for 2-3 days if you are on a city-hopping tour.

This place is nice and somewhat clean, but it is in need of a serious overhaul. There comes a time when a investor should step in and shine up this old gem. Great Breakfast, small room, Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is gorgeous and the drive to Pula was wonderful.

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write the review of our Hotel Park. We are glad that you enjoyed your trip to Pula and that you were more then satisfied with the breakfast offered at the hotel.
We absolutely agree with you when you say that „every investor should step in and shine the old gems“ That is why we take this opportunity to tell you that this year 2011-2012 we are renovating our Hotel Histria, Hotel Medulin and the Resort Punta Verudela. Following this trend, we will be renovating also Hotel Park in the future.
Thank you once again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back at Hotel Park or any other Arenaturist's hotel.
Kind regards,
Arenaturist management

I will be thorough.

The place is interesting for long walks.

Other than that:

Most of the hotel staff isn't very friendly or helpful. They looked completely disinterested.
The elevator is too small, crowded and sometimes it doesn't even work.
Plates and shrouds in the restaurant were sometimes a little bit unclean. To get the best dessert (watermelon, melon, icecream, puding) you had to be constantly on alert, otherwise it was almost impossible to get dessert- it was gone in seconds whenever it was brought.
Breakfest and dinner could have been more diversified.
When somebody left the table you couldn't sit at the free table because staff didn't brought new napkins, spoons, forks and knives.
In front of hotel there is only around 30 regulated parking places so you must park your car under the trees few 10 metres away and even there there is not a lot of free space. So you have to carry your bags to the hotel for some time.

Beach is awful, just rocks, you need shoes to get into the wather, swimming pool is too small, Pula is not made for swimming. We have never swimmed so little.
At the hotel swimming pool they charge you 2 euros for one sun bed per day, so 4 euros for a couple.
City of Pula is to far away to walk, not a 55 minute walk – longer. Bus is the best option. Do not go to Pula with a car – no parking places, crowded, a lot of small one way streets.
Rooms are quite small, tv is really really small, not a lot of tv channels, in the morning (around 8:00) everybody is slamming with the doors. Shower is too small for two, too expensive, there is no airconditioning (to hot), the beds are separated.
Towels are changed only every second day as are the sheets.
For sure not a tree star hotel, hotel is stuck in 80's, maybe in 1980 it was a tree star hotel.
I definetely wouldn't recommend it.

Me & my friend was lucky enough to get a "suite" when we were about to check in, thanks to the hotel manager:-) He was very nice and helpful!!!

The hotel could need a renovation, but the rooms are clean and that is the main thing:-)
It's a small beach 1 minute walk from the hotel, but if you would like to have some drinks and listen to some party music while sun bathing I would recommend that you go to the larger beach which is within 5 min walk:-)

The breakfast buffet was good enough. Not too much to choose from but most of it was really good! It was worth getting up for:-)

There was a pool at the hotel, and they actually had water aerobic and gathered people to play games in the water... We didn't join, but if you're restless this will be perfect!

Keep in mind that Pula is'nt a party destination... It's very nice to go here to relax, enjoy great food(I would recommend to visit the Taverna at hotel Histria and the buffet at hotel Histria)

Our hotel room was kept clean, and the staff was nice. Some of the woman working in the bar, doesn't know englich very well...

Clean but boring. Purpose built for Eastern European families . Group of hotels on peninsula 55 minutes walk from Pula Town. Local buses but do not run late at night. Taxi service unreliable.
Hotel staff dour. Food appalling - stodge - overcooked brocolli and carrots and leathery meat. Tinned fruit (market stalls all had lovely fresh fruit). Although there's a night porter bar closes at 11pm could not even have a glass of milk after this time. Woken every morning at 6am my staff cleaning swimming pool area.

They need a lot of training before entering European Union.
